Aeroplane Playground, The Oval @ Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP) — Attraction in Singapore

This park has been around for a while. It's located in Seletar, so not the most convenient of places to get to. It's split into a smaller part for younger kids, and a slightly bigger part for older kids. It has an aeroplane theme. The slides are all part of an aeroplane structure, which is really fun. There is also a giant chess board that kids can play jumping games on. One part even features a control tower, which is actually a climbing structure at the top of which is a small enclosure (the control tower part) and then a tunnel slide that brings the kids down. That part is for older kids and it's great fun. There are also bucket swings for younger kids. There are restaurants around so one can go in the late afternoon and then have dinner around there. Late afternoon is good as it's not that hot. There isn't alot of shade as there aren't big trees there. Remember to bring lots of water for the kids. However there is usually a nice breeze in the evening. And one can even see aeroplanes land and take off from the runway of the nearby Seletar Airport. Kids love that! We always come here if we have the time. One of my kids...

Visited the children playground with my family, after reading a blog about this aviation themed playground by a fellow daddy.

This place is quite a remote one, and feels like a combination of industry area and a park (with nice trees and red roofed house )

The playground, just behind the Wheeler'S estate restaurant, itself looks very new and is very nice. Surprisingly on the morning I visited, a big number of families were there in the playground and nearby. A really big crowd for such a remote place.

Walk a bit further up from the playground, and you see the airport across the fence . I could see a line up of small planes and a helicopter parking there. Should be of interest to adults.

If you bring children, go there before 10am or after 5pm ; otherwise it will be too much sunlight and too hot. Bring enough water.

Not many choices for food, compared with average shopping mall. And...

Nice small space for kids to play at.

This place is quite secluded BUT nice place to be at. At most times parents, can just let your kids free for a while.. but that while is worth it koz you can enjoy a bit of breather...hehehehe..

Nway, the playground has a theme of an aeroplane. With this kind of condition, wouldnt it be therapeutic? Away from the business of the city, i am pretty sure even kids would be able to enjoy having their own 'ME' time here.

Downside is that, it is quite small and you have got to have your own transport to get to this...
