I wish to share with the general public that KFC arè shortage of staff for all their outlets in Singapore. In the past before Covid 19 pàndemic. Singaporean staff were treated as second class staff manual labourers and paid a $3/hour wages as part time. Singaporean cannot get full time employment because priorities were given to foreigners such as Chinese PRC , Phillipinoes, Indian National, Malaysian, Myammar national in a two years contract employment and weŕe paid higher salaries then Singaporean.
Free Meal provided. Sounds good doesn't it. Worked 6 hours 1 free meal consisted of 2 pcs chicken of your choice. Usually eaten at non peak hours during the outlets operations and given a 20 mins. Break for staff meals which is too short. Proper breaks of 45 minutes must be given.
Personal hygiene were not practiced by shift managers at their outlets or enforced them. Their RGM or Restaurant General Manager turned a blind eyè or don't know about it.
At their management office at Kallang. The Operation Executive don't know about the bad hygiene practises by shift managers or their staff and closed one eye. I would say that the shift managers and staff were encouraged not to practice proper food safety.
There were ill treatment given to the cooks and were often shouted at by the RGM because of poor management by the floor managers for not able to project how much cooked chicken were sufficient for peak period sales. Usually there were 2 cooks in the cook station. So The RGM reduced manpower to the cook station by guving one cook to saved on labour cost which is wrong. Therefore tiring out a single cook to cook the crispy and the original chicken. These are a form of ill treatment.
Pre-employment check up is a requirement at KFC Singapore For those who wants to work a kfc outlets. Usually can pass the mandatory health screening with X-ray provided the clinic have all the facilities that the outlet RGM send the new staff to is open.
Master Chef at KFC are actually a Supervisor. Basic Salary are equal to a cook salary at a private restaurant. KFC should not use this title 'Master Chef' as its mis-leading. A Master Chef in culinary world is an exceptional chef with high knowledgable experienced hand on in kitchen, practises and enforced proper hygiene for the back of the house which is the kitchen and do not work in the front of the house which is the service area and do not handled cash or worked as a cashier.
The KFC Management need to do fair employment, don't take good staff for granted. Pay a competitive salary.
Otherwise , young Singaporean will opt to join Macdonald as their welfare and salaries are much better with no ill treatment...
Read more22/9/2025, new review. Recently KFC change the new recipe for tender chicken (only original version). The taste is too salty, and the chicken becomes too soft, Is it my imagination? The chicken is thinner, as 27 years experience in food industry, my observation should be correct. Let’s see KFC how to reply. The previous version is way better. Pls bring back the tender spicy like before. With new tender chicken, the taste will causes the sales drop a lot.
KFC Singapore no longer consider as fast food chain. Only can say it is a fried Chicken shop. Very bad experience in past few month till now. Waiting time up to 1hr and no food ready. Not even a cup of drinks from your order. People go for fast food restaurant will think the service is fast. KFC no more. Even the Korean fried chicken serve the food is faster than KFC, Customer hotline also never answer at all, online feedback this issue also no reply and action. Maybe KFC want to withdraw sg market same...
Read moreLousy customer service. Westmall KFC outlet that encourages food waste in a time of increasing push for sustainability.
I requested for an order of a 2 pc meal. First I asked if I may swop the coleslaw with whipped potato because I don't eat coleslaw. I was rejected.
2nd, I asked if I may change one of the 2 pcs of chicken. I was rejected.
Reason being this is a promo set.
I scrutinised the promo terms and conditions. It has zero mention of sorts even when it listed other conditions.
Patrons are coerced to accept items they do not want which ended up in the waste bin.
2 suggestions for KFC:
either put terms and conditions clearly so that patrons will not waste time queuing up for an order they do not agree with
Cease all promo if KFC is so keen on enforcing its policies
My experience for this episode: Shameful that KFC acts in such way. And I think KFC is no longer practicing the good service it...
