SočaAdventure ~ RAFTING & CANYONING & KAYAKING — Attraction in Bovec

Soca Adventure is the premier family-friendly tour operator! I am so glad we booked a private white water rafting and canyoning trips with them! The canyoning is an exciting challenge for kids (and heck, most adults) and Sam did an outstanding job adjusting for our 6 and 7 year old girls through the canyon. Our 6 year old got a bit overwhelmed halfway down and Sam was calm and patient and worked with her, providing safe options for her to climb around the elements she wasn't comfortable with. Meanwhile, Sam found extra challenges for my adrenaline-junkie 7 year old, to take some bigger jumps and slides. He was very attuned to safety throughout, giving us clear instruction, and we all felt comfortable. Our 6 year old adored Sam by the end of the canyon, and both girls finished happy, with a sense of accomplishment. Urban did a great job with our long white water rafting day! He was communicative about what to expect and made it a fun day, allowing the girls to paddle or not throughout. Both guides brought water-proof cameras and took pictures and video, which were sent to us a few hours after each tour ended with a link that was easy to download them all quickly. Speak up if there are specific pictures you want and they are happy to snap away! If you have kids, I recommend a private tour as you can move at your own pace. After debating back and forth about whether or not to do it, On our last day visiting the Soca valley, we decided to do a kayak tour. I didn't have high hopes that we would manage it, being that we were trying to book absolutely last minute. (Like 2 hours before tour time!!) But SocaAdventure made it happen!! I know there are a million companies that offer these services in Bovec, but we decided to go with SocaAdventure because we'd seen their kayaks and thought they looked like good and easy ones to use. We were right, the kayaks were very stable and comfortable and easy to maneuver. This is really important!! A good kayak can make the difference between a great trip and a miserable one. Next up was the service. Customer service from the manager was first class!! Even though we were unsure of a couple of things, we were never made to feel like it's too inconvenient. The icing on the cake was our wonderful guide, David. Professional but with a fun and easygoing manner that turned our adventure from great to amazing!! Absolutely worth every cent!! Thank you...

We booked SocaAdventure after the competitor cancelled our river rafting trip. This river rafting was really good, we had plenty of time on the Soca river itself which was very cold and clear. Our captain Alex was very focused on safety first, he avoided the more dangerous paths, unlike his colleague from Venezuela. Maybe it's his attitude (Safety first - which is good) or maybe our boat was deemed less capable (we were one person less than the other boat). However, we still had lots of fun. The company provides us with photos and videos for free (!) of our rafting adventure.

Please note that the jump from the smaller rock is really fun and not dangerous at all, however the jump from the higher rock is even very dangerous (IMO) on the way up to the rock and they also said that people dislocated their shoulder whilst jumping so advised to hug yourself.

Again, Alex put safety first and I think that's great for a boat captain who has the responsibility for the well-being of his passengers/guests....
