A park I have been visiting with my parents while growing up in Bellville. Many happy memories of many things there. Love that a person can be in nature close to home and enjoy the beauty and piece and quiet. A concern though is the fact that there are too little security guards on duty. Another concern that bothers me the most is there are people visiting with their kids and these parents does not teach their children respect for animals or nature, by idly standing by and watching and allowing their children to chase after the guinea fowls and the ducks! That is not right or acceptable, as we are visiting their home, it is also part of a nature reserve. Morality is important and kids needs to learn respect for nature and God's creatures. What do you teach a child when you let him chase animals like that? That its ok to be dis-concerned with the well-being of innocent animals. It only harvests disrespectful uncaring adults later in life. Maybe the park should have some type of program where kids can get more familiar with things in nature and learn stuff and become more caring about the inhabitants...

Sadly, too many people with dogs are not cleaning up after their pets, which makes it REALLY unpleasant trying make use of the park. Your attention has to be on the ground full time in order to avoid yourself or your children stepping in poop. Literally not two minutes of walking went by without coming across dog poop, and we had the unpleasant misfortune of having to clean this off the wheels of my little one's pram. Really just made a fun family day out so unpleasant for us. Perhaps a suggestion would be to cordon off a section of the park for use for people with dogs? This would really go a long way in creating a more pleasant and sanitary area for families and kids to play and...

The park is clean, well kept and safe.
Recent upgrades means it has new gardens/beddings and a small lake.
There is an outdoor gym area for those who are that way inclined and they also host the park run on weekends allowing for walking/jogging in groups.
There is a jungle gym for kids and large lawns as well as a few tables for picnics, though this should ideally be increased and scattered across the park.
Unfortunately there aren't really ablutions throughout the park which is one of the few faults one can find. It may also be preferable to plant some larger trees at the edge near the highway to create a more private atmosphere and buffer some of the...
