Silver Spur — Restaurant in Bellville

So we have been customers of Silver Spur for years. I remember always going there with my parents and used to love it. So as we grew older things change, you move and so on and so forth. But today I decided I want to take my son there for his birthday, came all the way from Kuilsriver as I knew it to be a one of the best Spur's there is, but to my utter dissapointment.

We get there, there is no waiter at the door to guide or help us to a table, they standing one side chatting. So we walk down to the play area, 3 tables open, all dirty.

Along comes a trainnee waiter, telling us to sit at this one small table and wait for them to clean the other tables. We were 5 ppl just to be clear, 2 adults 3 children age 6 to 12.

So we wait, no waitress to assist us for about 10 min, tables still not clean. And let me tell you the Spur was not busy at all. I use to be a wait on at Spur myself, and this was just pathetic.

So along comes the waitress eventually, just to clean the 1 table for someone else, and we still waiting sitting no assistance.

20 min later I felt like walking out but not to disappoint my son I stayed and waited it out.

We go assisted eventually, just to wait 40 min for our food, coming in drips and crabs, kids waited the longest and got irritated.

So food came just to see that half of the food on my husband's plate is not there as advertised. So the waiting begins again. As well as the small chips for my son with his macaroni which I requested twice never came.

Then we get told, the table that we are now still sitting at is booked for 13:30, this time I got picked but still kept my mouth.

Asked for a bucket and I dished everyone's food in the take away buckets and asked for the bill.

Along comes the bill only to be charged with the small chips we never received.

Never ever will I go back there again. Waitress was so unhelpful and got irritated when we asked for something, I actually saw her shake her head and lucky could not here what she was complaining about to another waitress as she walked away, just because i asked where the rest of the food was that was missing in my husband's plate.

My Bacon, Cheese & Guacamole Burger had plastic, pieces of paper, and a very sharp chicken bone inside the guacamole, it's as if it came from a rubbish bin. Imagine if I had swallowed everything, what would have happened to me, even now I'm not sure if everything I ate before discovering the non-food objects was edible. This is a physical hazard in terms of food safety, imagine if there was pieces of glass inside that burger.

You have shown colorism, if you do not want people of the different skin color as your staff in your restaurant it is better to put a SIGN that says " ONLY WHITES ALLOWED" or have someone by the door to tell people of different color other than yours that "THE RESTAURANT IS FULL" instead of making us eat rubbish food like we some dogs or useless.

Im referring to the Spur above Ok. Very dissapointing and expensive experience. I had visitors from America and Vietnam with me, supposed to be a joyeous occasion. As soon as we got our food, (the cheese werent even melted on the burger) the aircons were switched off before 8pm. It was too hot to eat and enjoy the evening. Besides that, I called and arranged to get a replacement spur card as I also gave my membership no, and have been e mailed prior, by spur as I have previous vouchers available. When I asked for the bill, I was told that my vouvchers cant be used as I have to activate the card on line. It doesnt end there.
