however..there are some really treacherous currents all year round..so ALWAYS swim in the designated areas ..and be sure to stay close to others...

MBLC Mossel Bay Lifesaver Club guys and girls keep an eye out for danger and swimmers in need of assistance..
Noteworthy: IF you cant locate a lifesaver immediately, a shout or whistle in the direction of Pirates Tower will usually result in one of the surf instructors paddling out to assist someone im trouble..
Hungry or need something ti quench your thirst? Hit Pirates tower during the day for all your liquid refreshments (alcohol) and be sure to check it out at night! Very popular venue and a must during summer, weekends and definitely holidays...then it's always buzzing..
In need of swim trunks..a surfboard, diving gear, dope tshirts, wax or caps.. the Diaz Convenience Center has a lots to offer... pionos, gifts, too much to mention.
You can also grab a takeaway, or order something to eat right there...

Parking is a bit of a problem for the locals that is use to park right next to the beach otherwise, but for the tourist it's fine to walk 100m to the beach.
