Simply disgusting!
Our visit to Diaz Water Park was unfortunately a complete disaster. We wanted to treat our children and, based on the pictures from Google Maps, expected a well-maintained water park. Unfortunately, that was far from the case.
The entire facility is in an extremely neglected state. This includes the toilets, the slides, the stairs, and the picnic area by the toddler pool. The toddler area was the worst. There was a lot of bird droppings on and in the pool. The water had a brownish tint that was more repulsive than inviting. In the picnic area, there was a damaged bench with a screw sticking out. All of this in the toddler area. This is dangerous and hazardous to health!
I confronted the manager about it. He just shrugged his shoulders about the bench and the screw. His response to the bird droppings in the pool was, "I can't do anything about nature. I'd have to clean the pools every day." I completely agreed with him: he should clean the pools every day. The water was simply disgusting. While there was less droppings in the other areas, they didn't seem clean either.
Safety standards are also lacking. Staff only appear sporadically at the slides to help and check if everyone is following the rules of conduct. This is also dangerous and grossly negligent.
I also find it concerning that there is a slide with a run-out zone that is 1.20m deep. However, if you slide down on a ring, you easily glide on the water into the area where the pool is 3m deep – a life-threatening danger for non-swimmers!
The so-called "Lazy River" is also not for lazy people. If you don't paddle yourself, you either have to hope that an employee is nearby to pull you along with a wooden pole, or you'll circle in a whirlpool forever and never reach the end.
Furthermore, the facility offers neither changing areas, so you have to change in the dirty and run-down toilets, nor are there lockers for valuables.
All in all, a thoroughly disappointing and not...
Read moreWent to the park in December 2023 prices are way to expensive was shocked to hear about the entrace fee to look after my own child with my father who also had to pay the fee to enter. So went to the park this easter weekend 2024. Entrace fee was agian high i do understand the fees to enjoy the rides but just to see my child enjoy himself was not cheap. The day fee is insane and thats the only fee there is!!!!!!!!!
NO EVEN A FEE FOR JUST 5 RIDES ECT
Upon entering i could count neary 20 people before us turning around upon hearing the prices COMPLAINING who only wanted to do 5 slides on the waterwurm.
So the water was dirty and old as hell also very smelly.
The area for the small children was slippery and few children actually fell and got hurt while there.
Paint peeling off everywere
Even the water of lazyriver was a dodgy greenish colour. NO THANKS
I left and also the other parents and went to the beach much better. And the waterpark wont see me agian. The differece in appearace of Dec 2023 and March 2024 was shocking.

Read moreWe have always enjoyed visiting this establishment as a family, but we were genuinely disappointed during our recent visit. The pricing and operational hours have become a significant concern.
At R190 per person for just three hours, we expected a more accommodating experience. Arriving at 12:13, we were informed that we would need to wait until 14:00 to access the waterslides, which was frustrating. Also if you are not using the slides then it’s R80 per person. During the brief 10 minutes we were there, we saw numerous visitors leaving due to similar dissatisfaction.
This approach seems counterproductive and risks alienating loyal customers. Additionally, the wristband system that was previously in place appeared far more effective, as echoed by several other reviewers.
We hope these issues are addressed to improve the experience for...
