Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary was fantastic! Rather than walking independently around the usual collection of enclosures, it was a fantastic tour filled with interesting and useful information about each type of snake, including the venom type, what treatment you need for a particular bite, and how long you have to obtain treatment. Several snakes were brought out of their 'cages' and lots of opportunities for children and adults to touch and hold the snakes, including a huge yellow anaconda placed around our neck that weighed in excess of 12 kgs!! The handler was incredibly knowledgeable... the kids and adults all enjoyed it!! (Unfortunately, I can't recall the keeper's name, but he was exceptional!). HIGHLY...

R260pp for 1 hour tour on most South African snake species

Very Educational. Thorough explanation on three different types of venom. What and what nots on handling bites from snakes.

Behavioral explanation on snakes and personal handling of semi-venomous snakes as well as contractors

Exceptional experience for children and fun experience for adults wanting to see some interesting snakes such as the gaboon adder or pythons.

This event is best enjoyed during sunny weather. Bring your own food and...

We had an incredible time at Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience both educational and entertaining. Despite the drizzle, we never felt rushed, which allowed us to fully enjoy and appreciate the tour.

The highlight was getting to touch the snakes—a thrilling and unique experience! The sanctuary is well-maintained, and it's clear that the staff genuinely care about the reptiles.

Definitely worth the visit and great value for the price. Highly recommend for anyone interested in learning more about these...
