I would definitely not recommend going alone. There are numerous places to get lost or injured. There are several trails, and you must carefully follow the directions. There are many different types of terrain—rocky, mud, and very steep parts (where you have to hold on to a metal part on the ledge). There are also baboons in some areas, and at the end, we encountered a large troup and were followed for a while. That being said, it is a very rewarding hike with breathtaking views, especially on a clowdy day when the vibes are ideal. We did the silverstream trail which led to a beautiful waterfall. Will definitely go back to do the blue point trail. Also note that there are no working bathrooms available

The Cogmanskloof Pass, situated in the Western Cape of South Africa, traverses the R62 provincial road, connecting Ashton in the Boland region to Montagu in the Little Karoo. Constructed by Thomas Charles John Bain, the pass was completed in 1877, establishing one of the earliest inland routes through the Langeberg mountain range.

One of my favorite hiking spots. Pristine mountain reserve with abundant water in the rivers. Friendly and safe with hikes of 4 to 8 hours depending on your fitness. Suggest that you take a guide unless you are an experienced hiker.
