Audacia Wine Estate — Attraction in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

As a rooibos lover, this is the place to buy some of their wines. They turned away from the traditional preservitive sulfit and instead are using roots of the rooibos and honeybush plant to conserve the wine. It is said by using this alternative you will not get a headache from drinking the wine. I personally cannot approve this but I am keen to test it out in some time. I would recommend the merlot for a more intense taste of the rooibos notes, but the cabernet sauvignon was more convincing. Great...

The ROOT44 market here is one of the best in the whole Cape Town area. There is ample parking and the market is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am - 4 pm (come rain or shine). There's a stage where live music is played from throughout the day, and a dedicated kiddies zone - the World of Adventure.
