Me and my friend done the Paragliding flight on the 6th of March 2017. Actually everything went quite well. Getting into contact and getting everything arranged went pretty well and was just confirming my positive research about the company. At first I must say that my flight with John was really perfect! He was very calm and very patient explaining everything. The flight was done with a lot of passion and calmness and I really enjoyed it. Now: the reason why I give 1 star is, because I payed the flight and everything for my friend to get introduced into that wonderful sport and the way how my issue was handled after the flight. Let me explain: I was generously suspecting, that the pilots always assume that they take someone on their flights with absolutely no clue what they have to do and that the pilot will take his time and ease to make the customer as much as possible comfortable with the whole procedure.Unfortunately Daniel got Jaques as pilot. Unfortunately Jaques was a hired pilot from another company. Jaques handled Daniel totally rued before and during the flight. It was just like getting him in position and before Daniel even knew what happened to him they already ran down the hill. When Daniel said to Jaques that his shoe is falling of, Jaques shouted at him phrases like: Forget your shoes, run or die etc. Daniel was scared during the whole activity also because Jaques was screaming most of the time. Instead of calming Daniel he also was shouting to the other pilots and made a sort of competition out of the flight: Who is the highest. Daniel never knew exactly what was meant for him or for the other pilots. Also we paid for a video and picture SD card. Only pictures where on the SD card. I think this behaviour is absolutely not negotiable. Educational he done everything wrong what he could do wrong. Now to the company: I told them the issue about Jaques. Monique was also unpleased to hear our issue with Jaques and told me, that she's definitely going to have a word with Jaques which I first found very good. On the same day (6th March) I asked here if they have a office anywhere where I could come to to talk to them. No answer to this question. But she said to me that she will get back to me as soon as she spoke to Jaques. Well on the 9th I asked her again, if they solved anything, on the 10th she only got back to me. She said that she not yet talked to Jaques (Which I personally don't understand, if it would be my company i would try to resolve the issue on the same day it happened) and she offered another flight with Jaques. I told her that I talk to Daniel what he will say but also told her that, If Daniel don't wants to fly due to his absolut bad experience, if they would offer a refund of the Video/picture price and 50% of the flight. All what she said, is that they only would fly Daniel again with another pilot. But I told her that I cannot force Daniel to fly. He didn't want to fly anymore because they scared the hell out of him. Monique also said that they have no refund policy, so the only thing they can offer me than, is to give me back the money of the video. Quit unhappy with the solution I was willing to get at least the refund for the video. But to organise this it also turned out in an absolute disaster. Monique always expected from me to have time when she said she has time. Unfortunately plans changed in our schedule, so we finally couldn't make it at the times she offered to us to meet. There was absolutely NEVER an option that gave us the decision to come and meet them whenever we have a free gap. On the 13th of March where they had absolutely no flights, her only answer was: Let us meet the next day. And I told her that we have a car and come wherever they are. But I think they where just trying to play for time until we have no more time, so they don't have to refund anything This is an absolutely NO GO in customer treatment. If you are an excellent company you will try to resolve legitimate issues as quick as possible and with good compromises for both sides.I gave them more...

On Saturday 22nd of August I had the absolute pleasure of doing my paraglide off Lions Head, accompanied by Brett Ellis. This was a gift from my tribe for my 48th Earthday and we all got to enjoy the experience. Brett was amazing, from the early on chat walking to the launch point; his direction in preparing for the launch; and the discussion and engagement on our amazing glide- not to mention his 27 years of experience.
We saw Lions Head, the flowers and some birds of prey "up close and personal". The day was clear and the views were astounding. The conditions and Brett's experience resulted in us soaring high above Lions Head, a sight I feel blessed to have in my "memory bank". The company was great and the arrival on the field was so well executed, we (by this I do mean Brett, of course) looked like absolute professionals. My tribe was waiting to greet me and I was "high on adrenalin" for a good few hours thereafter.
Thank you to the entire Hi5 team, I highly recommend the experience and strongly encourage that you get the video and pics, they really are an amazing way to experience the glide again, and again, and again ;O0

Read moreWe enjoyed the opportunity of paragliding in this stunning environment. However, next time I would choose another company for this. We felt extremely rushed from the beginning till the end. While other companies waited for the weather conditions to improve, Grant pushed us to do it asap. Before the flight, we received only minimal instructions ("Just go and I will tell you then what you have to do..." - this is not how you treat someone who is nervous). Specific wishes were ignored (e.g. my girlfriend wanted to go first - they did not allow just because my pilot was ready half a minute before her pilot was and my pilot should not wait...Really?!). The flight itself felt more like going on a zipline straight from Signal Hill to the landing area in Sea Point. Short time after our flight, we saw other paragliders from other companies taking much longer flights with turns, etc. instead of going just straight down towards Sea Point. To conclude, paragliding in Cape Town is great but please consider other companies if you want to get the most...
