Leeuwenzee Guest House — Hotel in Sea Point

A great choice for our stay in Cape Town! Leeuwenzee Guest House is cozy, comfortable, and convenient. My partner felt that the Dutch word gezellig (gesellig in Afrikaans) is more accurate. The folks here are so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Each day, they asked with genuine curiosity about our plans and checked in on how things went at the day's end. Lots of helpful recommendations for dining and shopping - Sea Point has dozens of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. Leeuwenzee is a short stroll (all downhill) to the seafront and a short ride to the Victoria and Albert waterfront.

The rooms are comfortable and equipped with a fridge and stove if you need them. Laundry service is available, which we gratefully used.

Breakfast is available for a very modest cost and is well worth it. The common area is quite nice and was well used by ourselves and other guests for conversation, games, and lots of coffee. If you're using the Hop-on, Hop-off bus, there are 2 stops in Sea Point, both near Leeuwenzee.

Overall, it was just a great experience as our main home away from home in Cape Town.

If you're looking for a nice accommodation in Capetown... Leeuwenzee Guest House in Sea Point is the one!!! We stayed there for 9 nights and had a really great time. The owner Jeanette is an exquisite person, very helpful, caring and always so kind to us. The room is big, with a large bathroom and a kitchenette too, everything was always clean and with only 120 Rad (6€ 😱) you can have a superb breakfast with coffee, tea, fruit juices, yogurt, cereals and salty brioche with eggs, bacon, mushrooms & tomatoes... divine!!!|In less than 10' by foot you are on the Promenade where we took beautiful walks looking at the ocean and on the way you can stop for shopping or for a great meal on the lively Main Road... it's only a short walk from the Guest House. |Right in front stop the buses that go up & down from the center to Clifton and Camps Bay.||We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place if you are in town!|We definitely felt in...

Leeuwenzee is an absolute gem. The rooms are very well equipped and the ability to do a bit of salf-catering after too many take-outs and heavy restaurant meals is welcome touch. The linen is top quality and the beds are super-comfortable, making the rest after a busy day of experiencing Cape Town that much better. The location is superb in terms of access to eHail services and public transport and there are many shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. Jeanette and her team are always warm and helpful.
