….So much has changed here since the last time we were here. It’s good to note that they have a good Covid-19 Policy in place. At the boom/entrance you must report to the attendant who sprays your hands with sanitiser and takes your temperature also No Mask No Entree is the order of the day. There are over forty different shops or businesses in this centre. And as much as 8 eateries such as Purveyor Steakhouse, Redemption Burgers and EspressoLab just to mention a few. Good clean restrooms which cater for the disabled are available on different levels. The Silo is still here and there are lift which can get you to the 6th floor. There are ATM’s. Art Galleries, fashion boutiques and the list just goes on. This a nice venue to visit when you have guest from abroad because the layout and style is very international. We together with our guest real-lii enjoyed our visit here. We even got to try the pizzas at Purveyor Steakhouse……..NB! The Wishing Well is still here for those who true-lii believe when they make a wish! Good Luck!!!!......

Sho, what a place to visit. If you have ever been to JHB, SA then you would recognise it as something similar to 44 Stanley in Johannesburg. Great atmosphere in an industrial setting! Quite a few cool shops to take a look at with some homemade goodies that are rather unique. The Burrata restaurant is great for a sit down meal if you have time and is not too expensive. Had a Diavolo pizza (R108) with a dragon fiery ginger cider (great if you are a ginger beer fan usually). The pizzas are simply delicious with flour and tomatoes said to be imported from Italy. Service is quick and pizzas are made in approximately 90 seconds according to their menu (we really didn't wait long for anything at all). Bathrooms are available on the property and parking does need to be paid for but pricing seems fairly reasonable for in the city. However, there is not a lot of parking inside so I would assume it would get crowded quickly over weekends.

Lovely food stalls, some are hit and miss so try them all out. I enjoyed the halal Korean food place that also does Boba. There’s a place that sells giant cupcakes, also a win for me. The oysters are so fresh and delicious, definitely yes. The falafel shawarma place at the entrance on the right is meh. The place on the right right at the end that does breakfast and curries and rice is also meh (so disappointing). There’s a place that does a veg dish and a meat dish near the oyster stall but in the first tent on the left side -their dhal was insanely good (Annie’s Cape Malay or something?) Also really enjoyed the pastries and fried food at one of the stalls on the right side, the sweetcorn fritters and mebos chutney were amazing. The only thing that bothers me here is the music is way too loud because there’s a live DJ, but I would rather enjoy my food with a bit more quiet and the ability to have a conversation, esp at 10am.

The best food market we’ve ever gone to! Variety, diversity, cleanliness, atmosphere…it has it all! From uniquely South African dishes to South Korean dishes - the South Korean dishes are a must try!!! Also…look for the ladies selling Swahili doughnuts…we really enjoyed those! There was also a stand where a lady was selling samosas…A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! These are only two of maybe 50 or more stands with the most passionate people showing off their crazy skills! There was live music too…a young south African group playing the funkiest songs…cant remember their name…you might get a glimpse of it in the video attached. We used Uber to get here so Im not sure how easy it is to fin parking, but it seemed safe. Have some cash on hand for car guards and don’t leave valuables in your car. This market has clean toilet facilities as well as some great stalls selling clothing, dogs beds, leather apparel, art etc.

A vibrant community in the heart of Woodstock where talented people come together to share, collaborate and show off their heartfelt passions. The Old Biscuit Mill is home to dynamic office spaces, a range of workshops and designer stores, decadent restaurants, food stalls as well as an inspiring line-up of day and night-markets, festivals and productions. Come and explore the Old Biscuit Mill and meet some of South Africa’s most innovative and creative designers, artists, photographers and connoisseurs of fine taste and décor. Moreover, the Mill – as it’s affectionately known – houses some of the city’s most charming architecture and, since its revitalisation over 10 years ago, has secured its spot as one of Cape Town’s favourite destinations

If you are looking for something to do on your Saturday morning, then this is the place to hit. You can browse through the food market, grabbing delicious items that is for sure to tantalize your tastebuds. Find a spot to sit on the communal benches, and chill out listening to a live band while you sip of Gin, Champaign or Coffee, while munching down on the variety of food. This is definitely a cool place to hangout with friends (or family). Dogs are welcome provided they are on a leash. On the opposite side of the market you will find a variety of shops and stalls, offering a variety of clothing, art to furniture. So if you visit the Cape, make sure you add this to one of your destinations.
