Not the same anymore. Fish has gotten more expensive but at the same time instead of preserving the same portion, portion has gotten smaller. Quality also not the same and female staff are very unfriendly. Used to be a big supporter, not worth it anymore. Money wasted on making the store “look nice”.. eish FYI, the one at the bottom is supposed to be a large and the one on top a medium.. 🙈😵‍💫

The food I bought tastes absolutely disgusting. The chips are saturated in oil and hard, the fish skin attached to the paper and the fish was flaky, the incorrect sauce was given. This is all going to the bin. No human can consume such horrendous foods. Also some of the chips were burnt as in black. This is not okay and a complete waste of my money. Overpriced garbage.

The best fish and chip roll in the capes. Their fish frikadel is also an all time favourite. Friendly staff, fresh fish what more do you need during that lunch break. If you cant wait to take a bite into that hake and chips, seating is available overlooking that busy Victoria Road.

Myself and my partner decided to try the fish and chips for a second time, we ordered a large fish(hake) and chips with 4 rolls for take out. First time was enjoyable.

Upon arriving home after being excited to eat after having the whole car smell amazing with the hot fish and chips takeaway, we opened the package and we were pretty disappointed. The fish and the chips appear to be cooked in dirty oil, my partner is a chef and would know the difference.

We were told 10 minute wait and ended up waiting 15 to 20 minutes (ordered at around 20:08 and paid at 20:31) , John who served us, had told me while I was paying "sorry for the wait, I wanted to make fresh fish and chips so you can enjoy a good meal." Meanwhile the fish and chips were cooked and drenched in dirty oil and over cooked. Most of the chips also had some rotten parts in them still. The fish portion was so small compared to the chips, felt like we had 1kg of chips on our plates.

Overall not happy with this...

Been buying from Woodstock Fisheries for years, because it's so busy we usually telephone through our order and then collect. Worked like a bomb. They no longer have a landline since it's under new ownership you now have to WA through your order. Fine, no problem did just that today. My WA order had been given to another customer so I waited for 15 minutes, I could deal with that but what I could not deal with was the new owner's attitude. I politely told him there was no point in offering a WA service if it was not being upheld to which he replied that I was getting fresh fish and chips! I told him that every customer served before me had also received fresh fish and chips. He then got extremely defensive to the point of being absolutely rude and in a nutshell, told me that I was welcome to go. I could not believe it - will definitely not be returning. The new owner could certainly learn a thing or two about customer service from the...

I did not wait long for my food but i was totally disgusted with the chips. They gave me kayangs not chips that was fried in old oil and very little to no salt n vinegar and The fish was rubbery. I experienced this twice in one week. Your place got a beautiful makeover but sorry your quality has dropped in a big way. You can actually smell the old oil while you waiting for your order. I would rather spend more money at Altona further up in the main rd and get...
