아이들과 놀고 데이트하기 좋은 장소. 주변에 돗자리를 깔고 놀기 좋다. 아이들은 분수대 근처에서 놀수있기에 젖은 옷을 갈아입힐 것을 챙겨야한다. 단옥이 돌 때에는 그늘막, 텐트의 설치를 금지하므로 매너가 있다면 돗자리만 챙기자. 나무사이로 명당을 차지하면 더운 여름에도 시원한 바람을 만끽하며 맥주를 마실수있다. 가끔 불꽃놀이, 공연등이 열리며 근처로 범계, 평촌역이 있어서 많은 먹거리와 어울려지는 장소이다. 이 근처에 사는 주민에게는 정말 유익한 휴식처가 될것으로 보인다. 한가지 덧붙이면 시청쪽으로 가는 길은 주말, 혹은 휴일엔 차량을 통제해서 아이들이 자전거나 스케이트보드 등을 탈수있게 해 놓았다.

평촌 중심에 있는 아름다운 공원입니다. 여름에는 분수가 시원하게 나와서 아이들이 즐겁게 놀 수 있는 곳입니다. 야외 공연장도 있고 어린이날같이 특별한 때에는 좋은 행사도 열립이다. 자동차로 오신다면 주차는 중앙공원 지하주차장을 이용하시면 됩니다. 그리고 주말에는 공원 주변으로 주차를 하셔도 됩니다. 중앙공원 지하에 있는 공영주차장은 주말에는 무료로 이용하실 수 있습니다. 지하주차장이 부족하면 시청주차장을 이용하시면 좋습니다. 겨울을 제외하고 토요일에는 토요벼룩시장을 운영하여 다양한 물건들을 사거나 내놓고 팔 수 있어요. 지금은 코로나 19로 토요벼룩시장은 중단되었습니다.
