I would always see the observatory light on the mountain on when I would walk by but never knew that the cable car was operational until 930PM. This makes it great for photographers and couples to go and see the sunset and the city lights from a high place.

Beware though that between the times of sunset and closing it becomes very crowed with people up there trying to take family photos and selfies. Do if you want to secure your spot and get the best vantage point for your photo, just be patient and a spot will open up once people are done taking their picture.

The lighting system for the walking path, isn't the greatest up there and bringing a flashlight is recommended if you plan to stay until the sunsets and you can view the city lights. The path is narrow going to and from the cable car so be careful while hiking to and from the observatory.

I did go on a slightly muggy day so some of my pictures didn't come out so good. I recommend a slightly breezy day so there are no clouds and it also makes the trip less hot when you are up there trying to get the best picture.

All together its a great place to start or end a date by watching the sunset together.

I highly...

The sky was clear at night so I could observe a marvelous night view. There is a parking lots, we drove to the observatory. Was bit chilly so we got hot coffee before we get up there. Wish they play calm music in the cable car instead of hiphopish random style. Personally I would love to hear some info about this place while we get there, like height, when it was built, the way we are looking at is which side and stuff. There is bit of walk from cable station to actual observatory place. Be aware, it's dark at night. I personally prefer views from Apsan observatory than Daegu tower (restaurants). It would look beautiful in the winter...

Apsan Observatory is one of my favorite spot in Daegu. I always recommend this place to all of my friends when they come to visit Daegu. From the top of the observatory, we can enjoy the beautiful view of Daegu city. There is also a photo machine for those who want to take photos, and send the photos through our email. A perfect time to come is in the afternoon to see the beautiful sunset. Just right away on the cable car station, there is a cafe shop that we can enjoy meals and beverage while seeing the amazing view of Daegu city. The cable car ticket price is very affordable. It is very recommended place to come with...
