MonaYongPyong - Ski Resort — Attraction in Daegwannyeong-myeon

We enjoyed our skiing experience, especially the night skiing but I would say this is not a good place to go for non- Korean speakers who are beginners. We had one person with us who had never skiied and we planned to enroll her in a class. Our options were very limited. There was a two hour beginners class without the chair lift included or private expensive 4 hour lessons. We were hoping to enroll her in a 3 day course which is a standard practice in many ski resorts. This place doesn't seem to cater for that for its international guests which is a shame.

On our last day we had a terrible experience trying to take the cable car for one last view and meal. We had a 5 day ski lift pass but we were told we could only use the line for the skiers. It was the exact same cable car. When we asked to speak to management we were given a free pass. However, the person manning the admissions refused to let us through. We had to go back to ticketing and someone had to accompany us to let us join the queue. What should have been a twenty minute wait turned into an hour. We were rather disappointed to end on such a sour note.

You can go to the alpaca farm and also ride the cable car to go to the top of the mountain. The alpaca farm is not big. This resort is one of the famous resorts in Pyeongchang. Many people go there for skiing. But I think, it is only for the professionals because the hill is quite steep. So during my visit, I just went to see the alpacas, took some photos, and rode the cable car. It is a winter wonderland. Feels like in Frozen haha. There are many restaurants inside including Halal restaurant which sells kebab. A good place to spend the winter holidays with your families and friends. I would like to...

It is a freezing experience. Pre booking is a must. They have locker rooms. Food is an issue for vegeterian people, i would recommend carry your own. There are two slots for booking, they provide shuttle services according to your slot booking.
