I really enjoyed visiting ^^ we stayed in the villa condominium which was great, they're older in design, so don't expect state of the art amenities, but they were comfortable, clean, and warm. The distance to the lifts was also great, we stayed in the L block which had us less than a 5min walk away from everything. Only complaint was the noise, we had different noisy neighbours over the course of the week. Our first night had children running and screaming after midnight on our right, then the next night (possibly two nights later, the days do blur), we had University students in the apartment above us who had a party, and were also screaming and cheering at 2am in the morning and walking around in ski boots inside (even though in Korea you're supposed to remove your shoes at the door), and they continued to stomp around until we left a few days later (even after complaining to the resort, and confronting them in person after that didn't work), then on our last night to the left someone was playing loud music at 1:30 to 2am, we even had staff come over to check, but murphey's law had it that they stopped as the staff came over and we could never find out who it was. It was particularly frustrating as there is a clause stating that everyone should quiet down and be respectful of the noise levels after 22:00 or 23:00. Adding to the frustration was that this was not the first time we've experienced this in Korea, is it just a cultural thing to not care about respecting other people? However enough complaining aside, the staff at YongPyeong were friendly and helpful, the boards we rented were in great condition, (slightly older snowboard boots, but still in good condition), the slopes were well maintained, and numerous. Definitely one of the good spots for snowboarding and skiing in S.Korea. So much so that I would love to visit again next year. The beer and brunch pub in dragon plaza was also a good stop everyday after taking on the...

The resort a bit far from city centre and most of the staff cannot communicate in English. There are no clear instruction or English translation detail instruction when check in or printed on sight. The telephone call even no simple english for housekeeping, general line, spa, transfer, price, open hour etc. all have to ask ask ask and ask, no one can give detail explanation. This is the most frustration part. In line with the resort which is far from city centre, when I am asking the hotel manager via email on the transportation, there is no helpful and useful information can be provided neither on its web site. I totally not understand all the stuff is not user friendly for overseas customers. If this is the case, I think the hotel should write down it is only for local user. The most terrible things we happen is we buy the ticket to the top of hill for visiting Animals, we saw the bus driver (obviously totally no English or something u can easily spot this is the suttle bus) and ask if he is the one who drive us to the top. He only spoke Korean and point somewhere by his fingers in a very rudely attitude. at the same time, there is another group HK visitors who waiting there 15 minutes without any staff or instruction to tell them how to ride on suttle bus. And Of course we did not get on the bus as we are not sure where it goes. then the bus driver drove away and leaving us in the frozen -17 degree and wait for another one hour suttle bus. We later ask another staff pass by and understand this is the bus we missed. In the entire carpark, only we (5 ppl) and another family (3 ppl), I dont understand why the bus driver will drive away and leave us there for another hour. It is totally up sad us and very...

Are you looking on tripadvisor to find the perfect ski resort to go with your family and friends? Then YongPyong is the right place for you. It is about two to three hours away from seoul. If you are a foreigner, they have tour buses that can take you.||||When you arrive there is a big sign saying welcome to yongpyong which really welcomes you. There so many different condo’s you can stay in but my family always stays in Birch hill condo, the rooms in the condo are a little small but still very comfortable to stay. The condo rooms are always heated so no need to feel cold.||But if you are a foreigner I recommend you to stay in the dragon hotel.||||The rooms also have big samsung TV’s to suit the nice room. Big springy beds and soft bedding, bathrooms are very clean. Over all the rooms in the Birch hill condo rooms are very sanitized.||||Not only Yongpyong has ski slopes but they also have a golf place and a big water park. I went to the water park with my family and the tickets were cheap because my family is a member of YongPyong, but it’s still not that expensive for non members.||||The golf place is open all year around but still I recommend going golfing in the spring and summer. In the winter it is way too cold to golf. They have golf lessons.||Most big ski resorts have a very high slope, YongPyong highest is Rainbow. Rainbow is actually is not one slope it has four more attached, which are Rainbow 1,2,3,4.||||Thats where I mostly have my competitions in YongPyong. Gondolas lead you up to Rainbow, it takes fifteen minutes to reach there.||||I always have a good, enjoyable time...

My plain room overlooked carpark so no view at all. But room was clean and very spacious. Be careful of small step near door entrance. Great and convenient to step straight out to the ski slopes in 2 minutes from the hotel lobby area. Extremely popular and crowded with both local and overseas visitors alike. Experienced -9 degrees celcius cold at night. There are restaurants, and a food court with separate cafe where I enjoyed a reasonably priced and delicious cheese port cutlet. But this ski resort does not have fresh powder snow as it requires snow machine since it is not cold enough. So I was extremely cautious on my first time on down-hill skiis since it was icy and hard ground. Enjoyed watching skiers doing night skiing all the way until 10pm plus. There are also snow boarders, and many ski instructors at this resort. Breakfast for groups was in their ballroom, with standard breakfast offering.

A ski resort with full range of runs covering from beginners to FIS and Olympics runs. Plenty of food outlets and convenient shops, including a bakery at the lobby of Dragon Valley Hotel. There are fitness centre, swimming pool and sauna (Japanese onsen) where hotel and condominium guests can enjoy discount up to 50%. You can also try the ski/board practice machine and sharpen your skills. Professional gears can be found at the shops on 2/F of the ski centre. There is also premium rental which just needs an additional 17000 won. If you need more space or a kitchen, stay at the Greenpia condominium where you can ski in and out. Excellent convenience - have a convenient store and Korean restaurant in the building!
