AquaPlanet ILSAN — Attraction in Goyang-si

Aqua Planet Ilsan seems promising at first glance, but the reality inside is pretty disappointing. For an aquarium this size, there’s surprisingly little to see, and the enclosures are honestly too small. Take the five raccoons, for example—they’re in a limited space that doesn’t give them room to move or play freely. It’s unsettling to see.

The seals, otters, and walruses all look cute, but there’s this deep sadness in their eyes, almost like they’ve lost that spark animals should have. They just sit there, lacking emotion, like they’re not even engaged with their surroundings.

The enclosures are clean, and the animals seem well-fed, but it’s hard to leave without feeling sad. It’s clear the animals deserve more space, stimulation, and a better environment to thrive. Aqua Planet Ilsan really needs to consider these animals' quality of life...

It was such a good experience after a long time, best place for age up to 10. Family friendly. My boy loved to th see the natural beauty in side the glass windows. Almost all see creatures were there. I really enjoyed the jelly fish and different species of it. The cycle of jelly fish was well explained through every windows where we saw the tiny baby of jelly fish to adults. The Magic show was awesome, I really recommend to bring your kidso their. On roof top there was a small zoo, where you buy a fodder for rabbits , goat🐐 and for sheeps 🐑 to feed them. Tickets we got from naver so it was worth to buy online. LOVE this aquarium. They have many types of fish ranging from jellyfish to even luohan and arowana. They also have a farm section on the rooftop where you can feed and pet the sheep and goats. There were many vending machines for snacks (including for the animals) but they only accept card not cash. It was a very fun experience as they also have a zoo type section with many different animals. Such as sloth, lemur, crocodile etc. The gift shop is decent but doesn't have any souvenirs based on the animals featured in aquaplanet ilsan itself.
