I have never failed to enjoy a museum in Korea. They are well-curated, the displays are informative and interesting, and most of them don't charge a fee for entry. There are free lockers for you to put you stuff so you don't have to lug them around and the staff at the information counter are most helpful. As this was in Jeju, the focus was on the history of the island, its people, and its culture. Combined with visits to the folk museum and a couple of other historical attractions, we had a good overall understanding of this delightful island. In the museum, I was able to watch various videos and understand the history. I still remember the video I saw in the basement video room. This is because you can see the beautiful scenery of Jeju on video. There's a children's museum inside the museum where kids can learn while having fun.
