It’s a beautiful sub island of Jeju. The boatride was easy and frequent, minimal waiting. On the island, you can choose options for the transportation - walking is doable as well.
We took Hop on, Hop off bus instead of electric vehicle/bike. These buses are also frequent, they say 15 min intervals but seems more often. You can’t go back the previous stops though, only one round. Local drivers are friendly and helpful. I got to chat to many of them and they try to be very helpful.
Udo’s beauty is in the nature as well. You can choose to do some trekking like me, follow the Olle path, as the road is beautiful and not difficult to walk around. Took me 2 hours from Tolkkin to 검멀례 and extra 2 hour around the top lighthouse and beaches.
Boatride is option as well, to see the beautiful cliffs and the Udo 8 wonders. I didn’t do it as I planned to do the walks and my hubby doesn’t speak Korean, but according to a local person, the boatride place in 비양도 is the longest and with good explanation. But doesn’t give English guide….
Everything is doable within a day.

Staff speaks simple chinese. The island has multiple scenic spots which can be accessed by public bus if you cannot rent transport like me. Buses run every 20min and either clockwise or anti clockwise direction around island (from near cheongjin port)...
