High1 Water World — Attraction in Sabuk-eup

Clean, safe, fun. We went early Thursday morning at 9am with pre booked tickets, walked right in. First thing that struck me was the cleanliness. It's not easy keeping facilities like that clean but it was nice. Staff was very friendly and most of them spoke some English and there were dozens of lifeguards all over the place. The lazy river with waves was awesome, but your arms get a bit tired holding the tube; you can't sit on it, you have to use it like a floaty. The two person tube ride in the yellow and blue slide was perfect for my 8 and 10 year old daughters who aren't big thrill seekers - not too fast, but still pretty quick. You do have to carry the tube up to the top but it's not that heavy and we never waited for more than 5 minutes to ride. Be careful with the Swinging Star - giant blue and yellow slide - you get a little airborne on the last dip and my stomach is still in my throat. A little more scary than fun in my opinion but I'm a bit of a wimp. The wildest thing was the wave pool. A 10ft wave blooms up from the back, crests, and powers down through the rest of the pool. Shockingly fun. We rented a cabana so we had a shady place to sit. The food was good, we had burgers, pizza and korean food. The only downside for me as someone with glasses is that I had to take them off for some things - tube ride and lazy river- which was only slightly inconvenient. Overall, totally worth it. Highly...

Warm water in Winter. Most pools are indoor with warm air so you will not feel the cold. The Park requires swim wear. After payment of admission, your receipt will have a number. The number will be your lockers number. Your key will be with the shoe locker which can open the main locker and also act as your debit card. Once you have the key, then you will need to head to the coin adjustment counter to add credit. Note they do not accept foreign credit cards. Admission fee includes shower towel and shampoo and body gel. Most pools except spas require life jacket to enter both adult and children. Life jacket, beach chairs, massage chairs require "coins" so unless you only go there for spa, recommend to add coin first. There is a restaurant inside and outside food is not allowed. 하이원 워터월드는 강원 정선군 고한읍 하이원길 424에 위치해 있습니다.

강원랜드가 1,672억 원을 들여 정선군 사북읍 강원랜드 그랜드호텔 앞에 조성한 초대형 워터파크입다. 사북읍과 고한역 사이에 있는 리조트 하이원 리조트, 강원랜드에 소속되어있는 워터파크로서, 시공사는 동부건설 컨소시엄. 사실상, 국내 유일 복합리조트라고 합니다.

참고로 국내 최초로 투명풀을 만들었습니다. 하이원 워터월드는 국내 워터파크들 중에서 4번째로 크며 1인당 시설면적은 7.6㎡(2.3평)라고 합니다.

정확히 실내외 총면적 51,038m²로 국내에서 네 번째 규모이고 동시 수용인원은 최대 6,640명 입니다. 실내 부분만 따지면 25,024m²로 국내 최대 규모입니다.

국내 주요 워터파크의 1인당 시설면적이 5m² 정도인데 비해 하이원 워터월드는 1인당 7.6m² 수준으로 유지해 보다 여유롭고 쾌적한 환경을 선사 할 것이라고 합니다. 하이원 워터월드의 가장 큰 특징은 백두대간 1급 청정 계곡수를 그대로 옮겨 담은 수질로서, 이곳은 열목어가 살 정도로 깨끗한 수질을 자랑하는 무릉댐 물을 원수로 사용합니다.

실외 파도풀을 포함한 총 9개의 풀 7종에 총 16종의 놀이기구가 있습니다. 정확히 파도풀, 바데풀, 슬라이드 등 놀이시설 16종과 스파 14개, 도크 4개를 갖췄습니다. 이외에도 유모차 워터월드 반입 가능, 실내외 카바나 설치 그리고 패밀리존, 아일랜드존, 포세이돈존 설치와 실외 파도풀 외 전체 온수 공급 등을 장점으로 합니다.

여러번 가본 사람은 알겠지만 전체적으로 오션월드에 있는 어트랙션을 참고한 걸 알 수 있습니다. 차이점은 오션월드는 고대 이집트를 배경으로 했고 워터월드는 고대 그리스, 로마를 배경으로 했습니다.
