Sol Beach Hotel & Resort — Attraction in Samcheok-si

I stayed here during the winter Olympics in nearby PyeongChang, which means the middle of winter, so there would be no frolicking in the surf, which is too bad, because there's a lot of delightful-looking surf out there in which to frolic. There are also many indoor and outdoor water park activities kids would love. This looks like it'd be a great place to take your family in the summer on vacation from the big city. It's about an hour and a half or two hours from Seoul and sits on its own little bay lined with just the right-sized scenic cliffs and just the right amount of perfectly sculpted sand. The hotel itself is trying perhaps a little too hard to look like Santorini in the Aegean, with a few attempts here and there to add some of those white plaster walls, blue trim and stone walkways you'll see there. If you've been to Santorini (I have!) you'll appreciate the effort. But if I had designed this big resort hotel I wouldn't have gone for the Santorini look, I would have just blended in with the existing beach and coastline, which are scenic enough in their own right. But that's not anything to really complain about, unless you're an architecture snob, which I may be. ||The resort has a friendly staff at every level and good food at the Mama Thera restaurant. I only know a few words in Korean but the staff was always willing to communicate. The rooms are bigger than a lot of the hotels in Seoul and mine, as I assume about half of them, had a great view of the beach. Hotel room was alright but pricey. I prefer the view facing the back of the hotel so you can see all of the main beach and hotel grounds (I. E. Not facing the "candle rock"). But for a 4 star hotel is a bit strange. First there is no staff in the hotel lobby. You have to walk all the way to the resort lobby. One thing awkward is that no where inside the hotel or resort can you find a place to sit! Unless you pay. In fact the place is void of any furnishings. Very bare. Next you must call them if you want your room cleaned. Call them if you want conditioner. Apparently they claim no one uses it. Prepare for a walk to get to the beach even though it's right behind the hotel. Reason being you are detoured around the paid for pool area. Be prepared to paid for anything extra here. Still if you can get a decent price give it a try because their small secluded beach is lovely. Note: the beach...

[Samcheok High School Change Maker Project 2018] Hi! I'm a local here. DM resort is one of the greatest places to visit in Samcheo. It is a resort famous for its santorini view. I think the admission fee is a little bit expensive. It takes about 300000 wons. When it comes to reservation, you don't have to make a reservation in advance. I recommend this place especially for couples. The nearby restaurant you can go is BBQ chicken. It is korea restaurant. For example, you can have bbulingkle chicken, seasoned spicy chicken and kanzang chicken. I recommend bbulingkle chicken, It's delicious and not spicy. The price is a little bit expensive.
