The Columnar Joints at Jungmun Daepo Coast are one of the most striking carvings of nature that I’ve ever seen in my life. A Cultural Monument of Jeju Island, the hexagonal rock columns are produced by lava that splits and cools down into the unique vertical columns. This is an astounding area to visit, breathe in the sea air, and enjoy a lovely walk along Jeju’s coast.

Basalt columns from cooling lava. It’s more interesting if you understand the history and geology. A few observation decks, a very short visit. Visually striking structure by blue waters. 2000 won per adult and 1000won to park a small car. You pay as you leave the parking lot.

非常奇特的一種地質現象，是屬於火山岩的一種型態，感覺好像有眾多的六角柱矗立於那邊，很奇妙的岩漿流到此處後竟然型成這麼特殊的形狀，就好像有人刻意把岩漿灌入模具中，等他凝固後再把它取出來放上去的感覺有點類似。這裡離公車站牌還有十分鐘的路程，你下車後要走進去一小段。裡面可以看的地方一下子就走完了 大概五分鐘吧，就是那非常奇特的景觀、步道和公園就這麼簡單。他門口會今天截止時間，很重要要說的是，你看到這邊寫上參觀時間是日出到日落，但千萬別傻傻的七八點走過去，因為我是在夏天過去的，日出時間為早上五點半左右，我早上七點過去，但他並沒有開門，要九點才有開門，別被他日出到日落的參觀時間誤導了，以免要等很久。
