Boramae Park — Attraction in Seoul

AVOID THE OFF LEASH DOG PARK AT ALL COST!! I went to the small-dog off leash area twice with my toy-size Bichon and both times there were hound type dogs preying on smaller dogs, aggressively chasing them. During the second visit I was bitten on my arm while trying to stop a crazy dog and that was the final call for me. Never going back to this park. During both occasions the owners were just chilling in the corner saying 'bad dog' or sth in Korean. The owner of the dog that bite me didn't even say sorry for my wound and she just left without a word neither to me or to her dog, AFTER it chased two other dogs, who were quickly picked up by their owners that saw me bleeding. I heard about other similar dog attacks happened at this park from the local dog community. This is the dog park that we all should avoid until there's a regulation about dog breeds or...

Boramae park is hosting the 2025 Seoul International Garden show. This adds another layer of greatness to the park. I spent about five hours there which included eating a picnic lunch. There is a central area for picnicking, sitting, relaxing and listening to music. If you have kids there is a unique water park area - judging from the kids, laughter and streaks they were having a lot of fun. The gardens are beautiful and the many footpaths provide lots of shade. Also, spent time hiking the mountain trails.

From 1958 to 1985, the area served as the Korea Air Force Academy. In 1985 Seoul Metropolitan Government transformed into a public park. There is a section filled with old air-force planes.
