좋은 강의도 많고 교수님들도 열정적이시다. 하지만 그것만이 건국대학교의 메리트로 작용하지는 않는다. 건대의 입지는 한마디로 미쳤다. 북쪽으로는 어린이대공원을, 남쪽으로는 한강을 마주하고 있어 주변 녹지가 풍부하다. 서쪽은 건대 맛의 거리와 같은 전형적인 대학가 상권의 모습이 나타난다. 하지만 양꼬치 거리가 있어 특별한 점이 있고, 좀 더 옆으로 가면 MZ세대의 핫플 오브 핫플, 성수동이 나오며 이곳에는 공장을 개조한 이색적인 카페들과 커먼그라운드, 무신사 테라스 등 즐길거리가 풍부한 복합문화공간이 가득하다. 동쪽으로는 동서울터미널이 위치해 지방에서 오고 가기 편하다. 대중교통을 보면 2호선,7호선이 건대입구역을 지나가 강북, 강남과의 접근성이 좋다. (논현역까지 10분, 동대문역사문화공원역까지 12분, 상봉역까지 12분 소요) 학교 캠퍼스 자체도 아름답다. 우선 일감호가 중심을 잡아주며, 박물관으로 쓰이는 구서북학회회관과 도정궁 경원당과 같은 역사적인 건물들이 새천년관, 해봉부동산학관 등 현대적인 건물들과 잘 어우러진다. 개인적으로 1956년 완공된 문과대 건물이 가장 멋지다고 생각한다. 로비가 특이해서 꼭 들려보길 추천한다. 그리고 캠퍼스 내에는 야트막한 야산이 있지만, 부지의 대부분이 평지라 걷는데 불편함이 없다. 재단이 부유하고 이런 엄청난 입지 때문에 앞으로의 발전이 더 기대된다. 실제로 2022 중앙일보 대학평가 종합평가에서 7위를 차지하며 사상 첫 10위권 내에 진입하는 돌풍을 일으켰다. 근데 아싸로서 아싸가 다니기엔 좀...
