On summer hot day in Aug, I visited Korea University Seoul Campus in Anam-dong. It is one of the best private university in Korea that is well known for law, business, and medicine. I always wanted to visit. On the way, I saw Korea Hospital one stop before the Korea University campus. Its building caught my eyes- superb even by looking the building. Modern, advanced, and very neat hospital. I felt I can trust this hospital for medical treatment during my stay, if I need any emergency or medical care. Bus273 took me to the entrance of university next. It was very easy and convenient trip. To my surprise, it was just gorgeous campus architecturally that used big stones in the shape of castle^^. I have never seen that big pieces of stones on the wall of almost every building and also for the pavement. Also it has beautiful Korean pine trees manicured all around buildings and many areas on the campus. I felt Korea university represents both advanced modern culture of intellectual education and long Korean ethos in combining architecture and nature. Harmony. Focus. Consistency. Care. I am sure students will benefit from this calm supportive environment for the their education and personal advancement. I also noticed many buildings were dedicated by big companies like SamSung, LG, and Hyundai Motor that imply Korea university is closely related to Korean companies for research and collaboration. How nice to interrelate education and business to promote practicality at university level! I wish my son comes to study in this university for language next summer. During my stroll, I felt cool breeze from the mountain at the back which made me feel escape from the city in the city. Yes, that was heavenly fresh breeze that I needed lovely one just perfect for young mind for intellectual curiosity, harmonious environment with nature, support to achieve their dreams to build better world. I also like to my impression that the main building resembles or somewhat like the university college in University of Toronto in Canada where I earned my doctorate this spring. I am very proud of this Korea university and happy to visit even for break and do some writing for my book proposal. I highly recommend one to visit, if you are in Seoul Korea next time or even plan to visit to explore campus to invest your future education. You will love...
Read moreKorea university summer camp: There is a building next to dormitory but you will be studying in woodang hall, which is far away. Buses could take you to woodang hall but not back if you study korean. Korean classes end at 18:30 and university buses at 16:40. You won’t eat in a cafeteria either because it closed at 19:00. Even if you came 18:50, there won’t be main meal anymore. And it then all of this could still be ok during sunny days, it will be a disaster during rainy days. And it’s half of July.
Other things are not bad, nice teachers, nice dormitories, nice food.
Update: I gave it more stars but they literally came to my room then I was in underwear!! They gave me literally 3 seconds to have my pants on, this...
