A must for anyone who's into culture/history. There is a mural trail that is essentially an open museum, telling the story of the North Korean refugees and the lives they left behind. All of the mural art is on the outside walls of the houses, making for a creative and stimulating trail. The art is poignant and heartbreaking, and well worth the visit. There are also restaurants in the area that serve North Korean...

Abai village is an interesting place. Has a really unique feel to it. The residents and shop owners there are formerly from North Korea, and there is a real sense of history there. I didn't really get to talk to anyone, but everyone in the village was super friendly. And please do try the squid sundae. Absolutely worth it. There was a mom and son shop that sold it and they were very gracious...

Its a good experience to see. Abai Village, a small settlement established by North Korean refugees. Many of them are opening a restaurant selling selling similar items, like Soondae (Abai blood sausage) and stuffed squid. Given Sokcho’s popularity for seafood, the village also offers assorted fish and snow crab.

It's a nice experience come over here. Here been a place previously one of the korea drama filmed before. As coming here a good view on the beach, also can have a ride on manual drag type boat. The area not so big, but it's very relaxing while walk along the beach.
