원주 장미공원 — Attraction in Wonju-si

In the heart of Gangwon-do province, South Korea, is a city named Wonju. This is one of the bigger cities in Korea, but has its own unique appeal. Unlike Seoul, Wonju is more relaxed and less for the club-life socialites. Instead, Wonju is meant for the romantic hearts. This park in particular, 장미공원 (Jangmigongwon) is the epitome and proof of such romance. Every night couples come to the park for private picnics, live music and frequent events/buskers. As most of Korea, it is extremely safe and couples can come here to focus on eachother instead of being vigilant about their surroundings. The park is filled with many strategically placed benches and seating areas. Everywhere in the park you will find romantic walkways, flowers (some real roses, and some LED roses... both bearing exceptional beauty) and love related statues. Apart from being surrounded by social life and young couples, it remains a very intimate and beautiful experience. My best experience entailed getting some beer and takeout, get a quiet place, (with or without a girl/boy) and just enjoy the surroundings and the vibe. It truelly is a lovely gem in Korea. Not a bad park but constantly filled with trash from people drinking in it on the weekends. And weekends seem to be when the cleaners have their time off so it's always absolutely filthy...

원주 고속버스터미널 근처 작은 공원입니다. 작은공원이지만 아기자기하게 잘 만들어 놓았습니다. 아래쪽에는 공연을 할수있는 작은 무대도있고 위쪽편에는 길게 늘어진 인공폭포도 있습니다 밤에는 이곳이 온통 컬러빛으로 물이 들어버립니다. 주변곳곳에는 LED장미송이가 있는데 수만송이가 되는것같습니다. 필리핀의 백만송이장미 카페처럼 비슷하게 해놓았습니다. 이것도 밤에 오시면 더좋은 색깔의 예쁜장미를 보실수 있을겁니다. 장미넝쿨로 된길이 있지만 지금은 장미가 보이질 않네요. 5월이면 장미축제도 한다고 합니다. 그때는 장미향기와 같이 하실수 있을것 같습니다

윈주버스터미널에 올수 있는 기회가된다면 커피솦도 좋지만 여유를 가지고 이곳에서 잠시 들리셔도 좋을겁니다. 터미널에서 5분도...
