Algunas de estas exposiciones son permanentes y forman parte del patrimonio de la ciudad. Mención especial se merecen tanto la sección arqueológica como la pinacoteca. El edificio en el que está ubicado fue la Casa de Empeño y es de estilo gótico. Hay exposiciones que están en el MUMA temporalmente y también vale la pena visitar.
