We took a snorkeling tour at playa de Abades. The reefs are very fun to snorkel and the beach is very quiet and nice. Cute shops and restaurants are right there by the beach and it felt a bit like Greece with the small white buildings. Locals told us to watch out for pickpocketers as it’s apparently an issue. However, we didn’t have any problems with our belongings getting stolen. Make sure to take the trek up to see the Ghost town. I wish we would have went on foot from the beach. We tried to drive to it but those roads are more for ATVs or bikes and not for regular cars. Definitely worth the...

Great place to visit if you've got transport as it's a little way from the main tourist attractions. It's good for diving and has a few diving centres, quite a nice beach area to walk along and some nice little bars. It's well known for its derelict church building and its outbuildings, it was built many years ago as a leper colony but was never used as such.
