What a truly amazing experience! After visiting the market in Santa Maria del Camí, my partner and her parents wanted to do some casual wine tasting. We wanted to visit a winery close by and after a quick look on Google maps, we found Bodegas José L. Ferrer. What a great find! Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted by one of the wine tasting experts; Isabell. This lady is an absolute credit to the company. Not only was she extremely professional and knowledgeable, she had the warmest personality we had all come across in such a long time. It was particularly great that she could speak German and English so fluently and effortlessly switch between the two, as my partner and her parents are Austrian and I'm British (trying to learn German). Her laugh was so infectious and we were all having such a good time chatting away as if we'd known each other for years. It was very clear that Isabell was not only passionate about her job and evidently loves what she does, she is a people's person and ensures the customer leaves feeling better than when they arrived. After tasting a few reds and rose wines, we decided on taking bottles of the Brut Veritas Rose, Cava; the DUES Callet/Sirah, Vino Tinto 2018; and the Reserva, Vino Tinto 2015. All of them delicious! Looking forward to our return to Mallorca and visiting Bodegas José L. Ferrer again, and in particular Isbaell of course :) Kind Regards Josh, Gabriela,...
Read moreBy far the best wine tour me and my friend have ever done. The José I Ferrer location is stunning and very appealing. Once we arrived, we were told that unfortunately because of the warm weather people did not show up for the tour. We had travelled 1.5 hours to get there, so we were very anxious that the tour would be cancelled. However, instead, we were offered a complete private wine tour!! It was awesome. My friend and I were having such a great time during the tour; the wines are excellent and the tapas were very tasteful and high of quality. The tour guide (Paul Sonderhoff) did an amazing job informing us about the wine making process and specialities of wine. His personality and hospitality made this to become an even more amazing experience.
The little train in which you get transported to the other locations was absolutely extraordinary. My friend and I enjoyed the ride; amazing views and just made the tour itself more energetic and fun.
Overall we would give this tour a plus plus plus 10! We would recommend it to anyone who loves wine or is just interested in getting to know interesting facts about wine. Paul has given us so much more knowledge about wine and his enthusiastic personality has made this wine tour the best ever!
Thank you Paul. When we will visit Mallorca again we will most definitely come back for another tour!! (Only if you are...
Read moreWe were looking forward to visit the winery, and we were coming with a positive feeling to see the production and to taste their results. The visit was not as expected, and we left the winery with a feeling of disappointness. We wasnt allowed to see the production, or at least just to take some quick pictures, even if the door was open in the end of the hall. No, it costs money and you have to book at least 15 days before. The wines in their shop, was higher priced that in Carrefour. After tasting wine with the secretary in the reception, we left to the winery BINIGRAU, who was a really good experience. Good priced wines, (20% under marketprice), super friendly and proffessionel, and we even had a tour in the production.
Thumbs down to José L. Ferrer, good wine, but not a place to...
