I want to start by saying that I have probably NEVER eaten better pasta in my life, apart from pasta I was served in a no-name Italian village years ago!
This is a quaint little place, in a very small, well kept town and has a wonderful charm about it. I was in Mallorca for 7 days and went back twice, dreaming about more pasta. There is a set menu, as well as an off the menu specials list, that is patiently presented to you by the lovely staff. The burrata is exceptional. We ordered it both times. All the pasta dishes we tried in the two visits were delightful, but I would go as far as saying that the ravioli they served off menu with truffle is the best Italian I had. The cacio e pepe is a great pasta dish as well with the fun theatrical part of it being served to you from the little cheese wheel at the table.
There are also meat and risotto options that are very well prepared and delicious, but I would always go for the pasta. And of course, it wouldn’t be a complete Italian meal without a great tiramisu.
We were only two people, so both times we got seated without a reservation but do reserve a table if there is a bigger group of people coming, it is worth it!
I want to express my gratitude to the chef and his staff, thank you for feeding...
Read moreIt is with a heavy heart that I write this VERY NEGATIVE REVIEW. The food is good, the waiting staff are lovely but the chef is an arrogant host. My daughter and my mother had a table of two reserved for lunch. I drove up from Palma to surprise them half way through their meal but the chef, and I assume owner, would not let me put a chair at their table so I could join them. I was happy to eat or not eat, as I was there to see my mother and my daughter. There was only one other table inside the restaurant. I have no idea why this simple request to join my family warranted such an ugly response from the chef. The staff knew me well as I had visited the restaurant atleast 4 times in as many weeks. I am sure the chef will not agree and make so ignorant defence of his incredibly rude treatment of me and my family. I just wanted to sit with my mother and daughter while they finished their meal. What harm could that have possibly caused? There was only one other table in the restaurant. Out of principle, what little worth this has, I will not visit this restaurant ever again, not that the chef will care....
Read moreSometimes a restaurant suffers when it believes its own hype and this is clearly a good example. After being seated, we proceeded to be ignored entirely except for being told, twice, by the extremely gruff and rude waiter that he would take our order in "two minutes" then "five minutes" which was clearly just a way to fob us off. He said that the kitchen was too small to take all the orders despite the fact the restaurant was three-quarters empty and they had been happily serving to full capacity when we asked for a table earlier in the evening. We would happily have chosen one of the other restaurants in the town if they had told us originally that they could not serve us, but it seemed they preferred to have us sit and wait for nothing, After 45 minutes of being entirely ignored while the waiting staff chatted to other patrons as if they had all the time in the world and ignored our requests to order food, we left. There are many other places in the local area with delicious food and a far more pleasant atmosphere where the staff actually appreciate...
