Salinas de Los Cancajos — Attraction in Breña Baja

Capitalism is palatable in this specific location: It's the best scenery in the entire area, however the hotels have pretty much gulfed down the surroundings of the Salinas

So not only you have the back of hotels and the lovely machinery, but also the trash lovely tourists would gently drop in this ecosystem wonderland because they feel better than the island.

They are wrong, of course.

Part of the ruins are private so you can't enjoy it.

5 months ago somebody wrote a review that restoration in place. These are old salt flats, and an old windmill. Potential to restore it up its former glory....but still a shame that no progress is seen. Just a fenced off area...of old salt flats..or salt...

Sicher wurden die Salinen der früheren Zeit mehr Sterne verdienen und wenn man das Gelände gut einsehen könnte. Offenbar hat man vor, die Salinen wieder zu "aktivieren"; meine Fotos scheinen das zu bestätigen. Sicher ist das aber wohl nicht. Fantastisch ist der Abschnitt an der vulkanartigen Küste, wie die eingestellten Bilder vor den Salinen zeigen.
