La Caleta is close to the sand beach of Los Cancajos and also handy for a couple of grocery stores and a good selection of bar/restaurants ranging from Chinese to Canarian foods. The staff are excellent - professional, helpful and friendly. The in-house restaurant is very good with a fantastic breakfast and a buffet dinner which is fantastic value and with a more than ample selection of dishes. Compliments to the chef! The swimming pool is also very good with a very shallow, shallow end - great for small children. The children's pool is rather detached, tucked away at another level. The rooms are spacious but with the two rooms we booked, we felt that it was lacking on small but numerous points. For example, in one bedroom it was not possible to open the wardrobe doors because there wasn't space between the wardrobe and the bed! In the other bedroom, the wardrobe was great but only 3 hangers each. There was nowhere to put an open suitcase or a chair to put clothes on. In the bathroom, there were no hooks on the wall or the back of the door for clothes or towels. In the kitchen, there was nowhere to hang a T-towel or hand towel. A bit of extra attention to these points would be welcome! Also just to note that some of the terraces are not split up with any form of dividing wall or trellis, so it's down to guests to stay within 'their space!' But other than that, La Caleta is good value, very clean and extremely convenient for both beach, facilities and the historic capital of Santa...

One of the best 3star hotels I have been so far. Its very close to the airport and have also a sizable parking behind the hotel.
The rooms are very spacious and have never been to a 3star hotel with such big rooms before. There is a nice pool on the grounds that is nicely lit up during the night. Also you can get a nice sunrise view by the back of the hotel.
The staff is nice and friendly and helpfull. The cleaning staff also does a good job cleaning. Also the weiter are just legends.
The buffe is incredible. For dinner especially it is varied enough and tastes absolutely great. All compliments to the chef lady.
The two maybe downsides are no airconditon which did not bother us a just having the window up gives enough cool air in so it was not needed for us. The other thing is the wifi is pretty bad.

Only wifi is very bad! Every 10 mins it falls out. then it will be deducted from your own bundle. without being notified that you are on your own bundle because the WiFi keeps cutting out there!
Housekeeping do not speak any english, only with some hand gestures you will have difficulty getting through.
They come everyday and knock on your door and few sec later ring the doorbel so hard, that i was like...please chill! There is also no sign you can hang on your door that says "do not disturb" in Spanish.
There is no need to everyday clean the rooms. But the room was nice and big!
