Tobelos Bodegas Y Viñedos — Attraction in Briñas

On our tour through Rioja we stopped at Tobelos just on the outskirts of a small village of Brinas. We had made reservations for the Wine Tasting in the XII Century. It was EXCELLENT!!!

The normal guide was sick and the manager took us out to two of their single origin vineyards with old vines (some 100+ years old).

The first vineyard Tobelos discovered the ruins of an old church. There we had our first tasting. The views were beautiful. We got to taste the grapes.

The second plot we sampled more grapes and had another tasting.

After that we toured the facility. Finishing with glasses of wine in the tasting room with a generous portion of meat and cheese.

Absolutely incredible experience. Wonderful tour of the winery. You really feel the care and attention to details that the team puts into creating high-quality and unique wine. We were also accompanied by the winemaker during the tour, and tasting wine from different barrels was an amazing experience. They focus on values and traditions. The tasting itself includes five wines, and I must say, it's a must-do compared to many others. The price is significantly lower than the value and emotions you get. In some places, visits cost 40-50 euros per person, but all we saw was a focus on mass-market production. This was the best out of the three...

Tobelos was an amazing experience! The winery is on the smaller side in the region, which is what makes it so special and innovative. The team was very welcoming, and our guide, Laura, was extremely knowledgeable. Since it was raining, they offered us to try the same wine from two different barrels (FR vs. USA), which was great and could really tell the difference. The wine was fantastic so we purchased a bottle. Will be returning to this winery and can’t wait to share the bottle...
