I added a review on based on the museum. Cuz I thought that's what it was referring to but let me update this for the hotel. You are not going to find a better deal in Europe. I've been traveling throughout and hands down this place wins top honors. You get a big room with a gorgeous balcony with amazing views and I'm on the first floor and the views are still amazing. I can't even imagine what it would be like on the 4th or 5th floor. I just had one of the best meals for the best deal of this whole trip. Under 13€ for an appy, entree and dessert. Oh and that's not forget the half bottle of wine that was included as well. Oscar, who was the front desk bartender, waiter and temporary cook? Well he just heated? The cook prepared the food earlier and it was amazing. Such a nice guy. If you are traveling between Western France Bordeaux region and Spain or Portugal you definitely want to swing by this place. It's absolutely worth it. It's a hidden gem. Truly one of the best value experiences I've had on my vacation.

Easy to get to by car and use as your starting point to the so many attractions and wineries in and around Rioja region. Of course you should not be expecting the Four Seasons, it’s more of a 2-star hotel vibe. But rooms were clean, spacious, the view from all the rooms is great - overseeing part of the Ebro valley and mountains surrounding it. Low points are (1) the very design of the hotel that although interesting at first, makes it very noisy in the rooms as the central wood stairway that leads to all the rooms produces a lot of noise and echo from downstairs. (2) Staff was also not that friendly, seeming always a bit stressed up. (3) wifi going on and off, and (4) too close to the road also makes it both noisy and too bright at night in some of the rooms

I am so glad that I didn't take the reviews seriously as this is an absolute gem of a place to stay and a perfect place to stop on my drive from Sweden to Portugal.

The room was clean and spacious with breathtaking views from the balcony.

The staff were nice and helpful.

And it's practically impossible to find a place to stay for 50€ these days, especially in the middle of summer, yes it was hot but we're in Spain in July!

It's sad to see that this place has only got 3.5 star review because it actually deserves a 5 star, given the price. Yes it's a bit old but that's what makes it fascinating. If you want air con, and modern bathrooms then spend 100€+ and go...
