Cabo de gata . Seaside town set in the Cabo de gata national park , Almeria , Spain . Fantastic beach , very large wide beach that goes on for a very long way . The town itself is not that exciting, few shops and they are hard to find , pubs and restaurants along the promenade but not always open , there was a great Spanish fish restaurant alone the promenade that was open and busy 2017 when we were there , however recently when we were there 2024 it looked closed and as if the building hadn’t been open for a while , there are some other restaurants but none open feb 2024 . There is good flat road cycling and trekking close by Also a cycle shore track to Almeria .
