Cabo de gata . Seaside town set in the Cabo de gata national park , Almeria , Spain . Fantastic beach , very large wide beach that goes on for a very long way . The town itself is not that exciting, few shops and they are hard to find , pubs and restaurants along the promenade but not always open , there was a great Spanish fish restaurant alone the promenade that was open and busy 2017 when we were there , however recently when we were there 2024 it looked closed and as if the building hadn’t been open for a while , there are some other restaurants but none open feb 2024 . There is good flat road cycling and trekking close by Also a cycle shore track to Almeria . The two times I was here it was extremely windy , not sure if that’s a norm but on a day with no wind and full sun the beach would be...

This quaint little Fishing town is the perfect place to unwind and relax. During the Winter you can mingle with the locals who live here all year around. Very friendly people. During the Summer season it takes a different turn and it fills up with people from all over..locals, foreigner and day visitors. Beautiful sunsets. Great bars on the beach (chiringitos) and outstanding restaurant on the beach front. Almeria is well know for its FREE tapas with every drink ordered. Amazing pure Spanish dishes to suit every pallet. It also has fantastic diving in its clear blue waters. Wide beach to enjoy a stroll and surrounded by the protected...

If your traveling almeria spain and wants to unwind and escape from the busy city. Well cabo de gata is a perfect place to visit. It a national park with lovely beach, plus the flora and fauna is amazing. The place is Instagramable itself. You can have your crystal clear or blue colored sea water in a stunning desert backdrops. One should expect uneven surfaces since it's a national park. There's a lot of things to do in Cabo de gata like water sports activities but if your like me who has limited time, visiting the place and be with...
