About 15-30 minutes walking from the abbey. We chose to do this hike as we wanted to take a specific timing of the train back to Barcelona. Pretty scenic and chill walk (we saw schoolchildren and grandmas walking this route). No stores, nobody selling so bring your water (though you might not need it considering it's quite short anyway). We also saw a deer on the way back.

Well worth the moderate hike from the monastery. Just about 15 minutes each way. The trail is well preserved and wide, so though there were others hiking it never felt crowded. Observation deck isn’t huge, but the area around it gives plenty of room for views to multiple areas. Loved it!

Nature's beauty at its best! Take the early morning tour by city wonders at 8 AM to see the sunrise and the views are astounding! Take the shirt trek to the cross and get some epic views - the snow capped mountains can be seen and also some beautiful pics with the Montserrat monastery..

Very epic place. A little walk from the monastery but no worries it is a very walker friendly road. And when you get back to the monastery, you'll feel some kind of way while seeing what and where you just went. Tip: Best place for a surprise proposal hahah. Amazing backdrop!

20-30 minute stroll from the abbey. I wouldn't say the abbey is the highlight of monserett, but instead all the hikes you can do nearby. I would absolutely prioritize one of them, or even spending a longer day to do one of the other ones that can take a bit longer.

NOTE: to those who have walking issues...it's a bit of a hike up some steep grades of unevenly paved sidewalk...was a challenge to walk..yet after nearly a 30 minute walk we were rewarded by some amazing views...on a side note...the songbirds here are amazing
