Imagine that you want to learn how to drive. You look on the internet for the top place to go and as usual, they all have similar ratings. So you pick one randomly BUT right before you book, a friend tells you that Lewis Hamilton teaches at the place next door. Well today I'm here to be that friend for you: Atlantis is the F1 of freediving.

I could go on about how the center is right next to the sea, they offer the most exquisite breakfast, there's a wreck right where you enter the ocean, ...... But let's be honest, your experience comes down to the people you learn from. Ideally your Sensei should be like Master Splinter: dedicated to the art, deep in the lifestyle, and a unique trait to prove it. That was the exact profile of my instructors at Atlantis: one was a Sapiens-cetacean hybrid with an extandible stomach, and the other a semi-pro bodybuilder doing police pursuits in day light on his bycicle.

Seriously, this felt like my Slovakian uncle invited me down to Tenerife to do some freediving with my French cousin. Everybody at Atlantis wants you to achieve your goals in freediving, and they know how to take you there. I arrived in Tabaiba almost clueless, and 1 week later I'm leaving with a personal best, full of good times and good people.

I'm telling you. Atlantis is the F1...

I have stayed, learned and trained at Atlantis Freediving for a week on 6 separate occasions. I will be booking up again as soon as I can. All staff go above and beyond to help, support, advise and coach. The accommodation is well equipped and is situated just above the dive centre and has sea views to top it all off. There is a very short walk from the dive centre to the entry point for training dives. I never had to miss a day due to poor conditions. Sea life is abundant, and the sea state is often calm to flat. Expert advice is always available regardless of your ability. There are beginner to advanced courses, as well as speciality courses like deep week, EQ and fun dives. If you have any special requirements or wishes, all at Atlantis do their best to accommodate you. When booking for a dive trip I always have an idea of what I would like to achieve by the end of the week. At the end of every trip to Atlantis, I have surpassed my hopes. If you are looking to head somewhere with clear water, excellent safety and tuition with a fun and relaxed atmosphere…. Atlantis Freediving is where you need to go. Oh, and did I mention, the delicious breakfasts and wrecks often visible from the surface just a short swim from the shore. Value for money too. I’m a...

Great freediving center. I went here twice in the past and it has both been a great experience. You can really tell the team is genuinly passionate about teaching! They all have great interpersonal skills and excellent technical expertise which results in enjoyable and safe dives!

The clear communication, approachability and adaptability in their coaching, encouragement and patience resulted in me and my divebuddy having a great trainingweek with good fun and personal bests being set.

The divecentre itself offers clean and comfortable functional spaces, changing areas, a classroom, warm showers and storage for personal items and is located at a prime location for freediving where you can dive year around (with an awesome wreck you can check out close to shore!)

From the beginner that likes to know more about freediving to the expert that wants to push his/her boundaries, I'm sure Atlantis freediving got you covered.

See you back soon guys!

P.s. The team can also help you out with accomodation for a competetive price in the same building as the divecentre is located in, with acces to a gym,...

To kick-start the 2023 season in depth, I have just had almost three months at Atlantis. If you dive from 10 to 60 metres, this is a great centre. In terms of price, they are also reasonable. You have the option to rent just a buoy and use a shower etc. if you wish, but I recommend going out with one of the instructors. They are all very skilled, and when you do 50 m or deeper they use a scooter on safty. Inside the center they have a large room with a grass floor, and here we always do stretching before we dive. After the dive, they also serve a delicious breakfast/lunch with coffee/tea The center also has a good number of rooms they rent, and they are on the floor above the centre, and these are also well priced. If you live there, you can freely use a full fitness centre, tennis, paddle basketball, table tennis etc., so here there is a lot to do when you are not diving too. I can't wait to come back
