Strange little beach. Hairpin turns down the slope, very difficult to park (go way to the end by the loop around, maybe find a spot). Difficult to find access, keep going down stairs, dead ends, folks houses, barking dogs. Very unwelcoming. Eventually a cute painted colorful rock stair to something like a beach, coarse smooth black glassy rock and heavy waves. Nice but very tight, uncomfortable.
Further north, ladders make for sea access but the current/waves look tricky. Beware. High ground, most everything is closed or at least, not inviting (January).
Good maybe for a photo but unless offseason, nothing else...
Read moreA charming spot with a rich artistic vibe, though it used to be even more colorful. Unfortunately, many of the streets are now painted gray, but you can still catch glimpses of the vibrant past with some buildings retaining their colorful walls.
The area is quite hilly with many stairs, so be prepared for a good amount of walking. Parking is a bit of a hassle, as there are very few spaces available.
