What a fantastic, immersive museum experience! I learned so much about Dali's early life, his family and his inspiration, and it really brought the artist to life for me. Each room introduces you to a different aspect - his childhood, his family, the important places for him in Alt Emporda - and the use of technology to enhance your experience is brilliant. The whole visit takes about 90 minutes, and you are equipped with a headset which gives you a soundtrack for each room. The headset intuitively knows which room you are in, so you don't have to worry about pressing buttons or keying in numbers. The final room, on the top floor, shows you how Dali took inspiration from the local landscape, and it is superbly executed. You see a landscape image, and then one of Dali's paintings is superimposed on it, so you can see exactly how he used it in his composition. The staff were wonderful too. They all spoke excellent English, and they couldn't have been...

If you are debating if you should go or not, I will tell you that you absolutely should GO! This tour left us feeling amazed, more knowledgeable about the history of Salvador Dali, and actually refreshed. It is the first tour I’ve experienced like this with all of its WOW factors, they did a really great job in creating this. My husband and I were really glad we did it before the hustle and bustle of the Dali museum (which was crowded and made us claustrophobic compared to Casa Natal). Our 3 year old daughter also enjoyed it and even better was that it was just us 3 in each room alone so it was very personal. It sounds like they only allow a max of 8 ppl per room which was really nice.

The front desk greeters were very pleasant and friendly, along with the greeters on each floor/room. We got some really great family photos as well :)

Staff said they opened maybe 1.5 years ago, this place...

We just went there yesterday. Best museum ever I have visited so far. Small but therefore have a clear limitation on how many can be at the same time, you need to follow the audio guide all together room per room so it automatically makes you concentrated. Considering he is rather modern artist, many photos and videos available which made the whole story of his life super interesting. Not sure how it was before it got renovated but not even a year old new museum is the best museum ever using modern technology. The highlight was the 360 degree room where they connect Dali‘s drawings with actual landscape of the region. Even our teen age boys who usually doesn’t enjoy this type of activities found it interesting. Highly highly recommend before you go to Dali...

Loved this museum! It’s like an immersive documentary about Dali’s life set in his childhood home. It’s very well done - you are given a headset (you can choose English, Spanish, Catalan, or French I believe) and the audio guide takes you through the experience. We were the only people when we visited, so had an essentially private tour. It was a nice change from the very busy Dali Theatro Museo. I would recommend visiting Casa Natal before the museum if you’re interested in Dali as a person as it gives a detailed history and interesting insight. The staff were very helpful and welcoming as well.
