What an incredible find! My father has lived in Spain for 20 years, and in all my visits, I never knew this place existed. My 10-year-old son and I stumbled upon it by pure chance while exploring the hills during his first-ever trip here, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday. Sendero Las Presas is a truly amazing country park walk, a beautiful ribbon of lush greenery tucked away in the hills. It felt like a real family adventure, exploring the path as it winds along the stream. We saw the waterfall and followed the river's path, which we could see makes its way down to the sea. Given the summer heat, the river had mostly dried up, but that didn't take away from the experience at all. It was just a fantastic, fun walk through nature. It's the perfect escape from the busier parts of the coast and a wonderful way to spend a few hours. We can't believe we've been missing out on this hidden gem for all these years. Yes as other posts have said you can do the experience in an hour, but if you take your time searching for the butterflies you can make a morning of it. Great for children to explore. Small cafeteria but a selection of food and drinks. Wheelchair friendly although a slight incline to the entrance and very clean disabled toilet. Two small hump bridges inside the butterfly house....
