Bodega Torre de Oña — Attraction in Laguardia

We did the picnic in the vines tour and it was amazing! Torre de Ona is a short walk from Laguardia and we joined the English speaking tour at 12:30. Melissa was the perfect guide, explaining the soil, the vines and then the process of extracting and producing white and red wines from the different regions of the local vineyards. The meal comprised tortilla, tomato in olive oil, stuffed peppers, bread, cheese and a bottle each of red and white wines. The food was spot on and the wines are up there with the best I've had. I am much belated in writing this review, as we visited a year ago, but Torre de Ona is a must-stop bodega! We were lucky enough to accidentally end up with a private tour, just my fiance, his parents and a friend. Since his parents don't speak English and I have some Spanish, we opted for a Spanish language tour. But even with my limited vocabulary, it was very easy to understand our lovely hostess as she was so expressive and patient. Our visit to Torre De Ona today was absolutely amazing. Our guide Maria gave us a fascinating insight into the entire process of creating beautiful wine .
