Getting to the stadium was a nice walk from the hotel, I got to the gift shop and purchased a few high quality items such as a pillow, pin and shirt. I also got to go around the stadium for a tour which was magnificent. We saw all around the stadium and got to see the trophies and memorabilia of the football club including shirts, champions league draw balls, pictures, trophies and other items. The crowning achievement was the trophy room which while filled with huge friendly pre-season trophies also contained a brightly lit display for their 2002 Intertoto Cup win that they shared with Fulham and Stuttgart. We got to see the changing rooms and the bus park where we could see all the players kits in their correct positions. The guide was exceptional also answering questions and giving answers when needed. Later that same evening, I travelled to see a team from the lower divisions, Rincon go against La Liga side, Espanyol in the Copa Del Rey First Round. I could be seen very briefly in the video on YouTube. The queue to get in wasn't too bad and we found seats quickly which were as comfortable as can be expected. The game kicked off and the atmosphere was amazing even though the team was not local, they supported the smaller side although the away side had a huge amount of flags in their support. The first half was alright, a few missed shot from Espanyol and a few great saves from Rincon and then a shock red card in 44th minute over confusion between players and aggression from one who shoved another player and got annoyed with referee. During the half time break, I went to get a drink and some food which was pretty decent. The second half began and it was almost instantly a sign of worse things to come for Rincon as one of their players was sent off in the 50th minute, after that it was no contest who would win the match as Espanyol scored three goals in the 60th, 70th and 83rd minute, a regrettable end to match that started off with promise after that Espanyol red card. The final whistle was called and a nice gesture Espanyol exchanged shirts with Rincon players. Overall, an amazing experience and cheap...
Read moreMy family and I recently went to see a football match at La Rosaleda Stadium while on holiday in Malaga, and we had an absolutely amazing time! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stadium's modern facilities, comfortable seating, and excellent views of the pitch.
The atmosphere inside the stadium was electric, with passionate fans cheering on their teams and creating an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance. We loved being a part of the lively crowd and feeling the excitement of the game.
In addition to the great football, there were plenty of food and drink options available, and we enjoyed trying out some of the local specialties while taking in the action on the pitch. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made sure that everything ran smoothly throughout the match.
Overall, we had an incredible time at La Rosaleda Stadium and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and exciting sporting experience while in Malaga. We can't wait to come back and cheer on our favorite...
Read morenice stadium however the top sections are very steep and not for the fainthearted. my wife , son and I were there for the cordova game in march 2015. 2-0 Malaga. good game but strangely lacking in atmosphere for a derby with an attendance of 27000 ish. Club shop is part of the stadium and prices are high - but good quality stuff. the walk from the train station is 30/40 minutes but taxis are not too bad at 10 euros tops. buy your snacks n stuff outside the ground - there are lots of stalls. I saw no sign of catering inside the ground. Access n exit pretty good - if u order tickets online they have to be collected from the ground ticket office 1 - 2 hours before the game. BEWARE Spanish game kick off dates and times are altered to suit the great god TV. Always check a few days before the game. Overall well...
