Bodegas Ostatu & La Venta de Ostatu — Attraction in Samaniego

Ostatu was one of the highlights of our Rioja tour. Our guide was very friendly and interesting. We were lucky enough to be there on picking day to see truckloads of grapes coming into the winery for processing. We had a very interesting tour through the whole winery where wine is processed, stored and bottled. We were even given a sample of some of the wine being processed to taste right out of one of the machines. Such an experience. The wine tasting at the end was fantastic. All of the wines were fabulous and they made it very easy for us to purchase wine and ship it home too. They even offered us a plate of iberico ham to eat with our final glass. We could not recommend this wine, winery or tour...

Took the time to reach out to the winery and request a tour. Highly suggest you take that route as well. Trying to piece together touring yourself, partnered by, for us, difference in cultural norms, takes work. The extra consideration you provide by proper planning, goes a long way I feel.

Aside from all of that, our guide was very passionate about the work they do at Ostatu, as well as knowledgeable. It was warm and inviting. Provided an experience we were looking for that portrayed a small production, quality family vineyard.

Es una de mis bodegas favoritas en la Rioja Alavesa, familiar y con muy buen genero. El motivo de mis 2 estrellas es porque creo que no cuidan a los clientes lo necesario. Tomamos 5 vinos por cata, de uno de ellos nos pusimos otra copa y se lo dijimos, y estando en la bodega vimos como una página online tenía mejores precios que allí en bodega, se lo mostramos diciéndole que aún así íbamos a cogerlos en bodega por apoyarles (gastándome hasta 10€ más en alguna botella como Ladera) y no tuvieron ni el gesto de invitarnos a alguna de las copas de vino,ya ni hablamos de dejarnos el mismo precio que esa página online. Salí indignada por la mala gestión comercial porque ya me daba vergüenza decirle que no me las llevaba. Mi recomendación es que reviséis bien los precios antes de comprarlos.

Una semana después, y tras la respuesta plantilla que podéis leer del propietario, vuelvo a meterme en esa pagina Web y siguen teniendo los mismos precios. Señores, entiendo, aunque no comparto, que no podáis controlar a vuestros partners online, pero si podéis controlar a los clientes finales que van a visitar vuestra bodega y tener un trato preferencial. Cambio mi reseña de 2 a 1 estrella. Espero que esto os sirva para que le deis una vuelta a vuestra política de precios, mas...
