We stayed in the Alua Sun Mediterranean (Las Palmeras) and were intrigued by people going over the wall nearly opposite our room. A little investigating on google maps and we found Cala Rafalet. My daughter and I visited one day. We lost our way once but got back on track using google maps (maybe if I’d used it in the first place we would have been there in 5 minutes!) A lovely hidden cove that my daughter enjoyed exploring and snorkelling while I sat on a rock and read. There were a few people visiting and this cove is small but worth a visit…you are unlikely to get the place to yourself as it’s not difficult to find but it is a gem and worth the short walk. Read moreStunning unspoilt place a short walk from the main hotels od S'Algar. Climb over the wall where the steps are built in and stay to the left on the main path until you reach an intersection of two paths and turn right. This will then lead you down into the gorge. Don't be tempted to venture off on the smaller paths as these will just lead you to the cliff edge.
Once you've climbed down to where the water starts you can climb up the left hand side to various sunbathing spots.
The snorkeling here is fabulous as is are the jumping spots.
Worth packing something to wear on your feet in the water, and something to sit on. It''s quite slippy in places where you get in and some of the rocks are quite sharp.
