The winery sits by the edge of a volcanic crater. The old winery buildings have been sensitively reworked, with covered patios. We were met by Maria, the owner, who explained the history of the family-owned winery which she re-established after a period of closure. She gave us an interesting and engaging tour of the winery (she speaks excellent English), then we had a tasting of four of the Caldera wines, each of which was excellent. We followed it up with a 3.5km walk around the upper rim of the crater, which offers incredible views. A great day out, easily reached from Las Palmas by bus 311, which stops just a few metres...

Fuimos con ganas de disfrutar de una buena comida, pero nos encontramos con todo lo contrario. Pedimos unas chuletillas de cordero que costaron 25 €, y fue un auténtico desastre: resecas, sin apenas carne y con toda la pinta de haber sido recalentadas en el microondas. Unas chuletillas así no deberían ni servirse.
Además, los precios en general son un abuso. Nos cobraron 12 € por una salchicha, una morcilla y un chorizo pequeño, algo completamente desproporcionado para la cantidad y calidad. Como si eso fuera poco, el servicio fue un caos: nos dejaban pan sin parar sin que lo pidiéramos y la organización brillaba por su ausencia.
