Gran tarajal is one of the six municipalities that make up Fuerteventura, unlike many other parts of the island it is not a major tourist destination, this means it is quieter and more relaxed, but always has a number of tourists to keep the town busy and profitable, it has beautiful beaches of mixed black and white sands. We found great restaurants and bars, shops etc but also the peace to just relax. The south of Fuerteventura has a number of resorts but when you head down it is usually straight on FV2 to Costa Calma, Jandia or Morro Jable, where the tourist trade really gets going.
