Booked Via TUI, this included a bus from the hotel directly to the Wildlife Park. Before even entering the park there is a large pond full of fish, you can feed them from a dispenser. Once at the ticket booth you can book extra experiences such as camels, lemurs. Some require booking in advance. I would highly recommend buying food to feed camels and giraffes! There is an excellent restaurant near the entrance we visited towards the end of our visit, the food there was fantastic. The gift shop is located here, with lots of souvenirs to choose from and reasonable prices. The park is split into multiple parts with different themes and animals in each, there are maps located around, I would recommend having a copy at hand. It is easy to miss something even after walking around multiple times. The beginning area is very flat full of what feels like hundreds of different types of small animals, some of the small monkeys can be hard to see until they start jumping from branch to branch. One of our favourite animals we saw was a small armadillo that appeared to be in a large enclosure on its own, every time my wife walked up to one of the windows it would run up to investigate! Next, there are some larger animals, such as Emus and wallabies with a rest area not far after, including a snack bar, children's play area and tables. There are also some farm animals located in this area and the Sealions Live is nearby. We saw some other guests swim with the Sealions and watched them play around in the water and catch fish. I would also recommend looking at the EcoTour train times as the first stop is located here and will save a lot of walking up some steep hills! We were not aware of this at the time and instead headed on a long walk uphill to see the camels, giraffes, Elephants and many more, feeding a few of them along the way when allow. We reached the top to a viewing point that overlooked the whole park now realising just how massive the area is and how much we had left to explore. The Ecostop 5 was located here but there didn't appear to be anything arriving for many hours by the time we got there. We had a long walk back down and headed for the Fauna live, there was some construction work on the way, it didn't interfere with the walk but there may be more to see in the future! We didn't time our arrival at the Fauna live very well as there wasn't any show for a few hours. There were plenty more animals in the area to see but it was a steep hill to climb. The last thing I wanted to see was the Birds live, we started walking towards it, entering the area with all the Cactus. We only made it halfway up the hill before deciding to turn around as it was too tiring after all the walk we had already done. We rested at the Sealions watching them swim one last time, we said goodbye to the armadillo as it ran back up to the window and saw some animals that we had missed the first time, the snapping turtles, more monkeys and a porcupine! This is the point where we visited the restaurant and the gift shop before heading back to our bus! It was an amazing day out, we learnt a lot about many animals, saw the staff feeding the animals, working hard to look after them. Would recommend visiting if you're in the area!

Plenty of animal experiences such as feeding, live shows, displays, etc. They also offer (additional cost) camel rides and various animal encounters, plus a tractor pulling carts to tour the vast botanical gardens. There are many restaurants and snack bars, plus vending machines, so getting a drink or a nibble is easy to do. We did the camel ride (which isn't really riding the camel (on dromedary camels) but sitting in a seat beside the hump), which was short but enjoyable enough despite the rude attitude of one of the members of staff (waving me away like a dog) when I tried to ask a question, then he called me back to him, when I chose to remove myself from his attitude and speak to someone else - this is the main reason for dropping 1 star. The other reason is the signposts often seem to be pointing one way but they mean a different route to what they appear - we, plus many others we observed, were frequently confused as to which direction a particular animal enclosure was in. The sealion display was absolutely fantastic, and I cannot recommend it enough! The fauna (animal) show was a bit mundane for me, as I've studied and worked with a lot of the species before; this is mainly reptiles and parrots. The bird show is various bird of prey species (who very much seem to have a mind of their own, and didn't always perform the commands asked of them, with one even flying off for a while before deciding to return! We also purchased (€2/bag) fruit and veg to feed to the giraffes, camels and alpacas. Overall, it was a brilliant day out with many interesting animals to see and interact with.

This is the first zoo, in a long while, that I want to go back to! There is a lot to see and do, and can easily take 5/6 hours to explore. All the animals look well fed and watered. They have tons of area to roam; with stimulation. I watched a small monkey (marmoset I think?!), for 5 mins, working out how to get treats from a tube thing! So much joy! The shows are well worth going to. It's more like watching the animals play with their keepers. It is clear that they like treats for doing clever things, but so does my dog, after jumping into the boot of my car! If you are into watching seal lions balancing balls on their noses while clapping, you should look somewhere else. Recommend getting a bag of hand feeding snacks at the ticket desk. They are for the camel's, giraffes etc etc. Yes it's a few euros extra for a bag of chopped apples and carrots, but I get the impression the money is pumped back into the zoo for the animals, not shareholders. Top Tip. After the Fauna Live show at 1220hrs, jump on the tractor Train to take you to the top of the hill. You can easily catch the Birds live at 1320hrs, and it takes you on a really long nice scenic route that you would miss if you walked it. Conclusion: Before I went, I felt I was walking into a tourist zoo. I left feeling the animals were not in a zoo, more like they were retired or rescued to amazing resorts with new friends and safe adventures. we spent £30(ISH) each on tickets, which is expensive, especially if there are families. But you will easily see where the money is spent, and you will leave feeling richer for it

I had an absolutely brilliant day out at Oasis Wildlife Park in Fuerteventura, and I just can't stop talking about it! The absolute highlight for me was getting to hand-feed the giraffes. There's something so magical about being up close with these gentle giants, looking into their big, beautiful eyes as they delicately take food from your hand. It's a moment I won't forget in a hurry! The staff there are just wonderful - so friendly and knowledgeable. They really know their stuff and are super passionate about all the animals. They were always around to answer questions and share fun facts, making the whole experience not only fun but really informative too. And the animals, they looked so content and well taken care of. Their homes are spotless and spacious, and it's clear that their welfare is a top priority for the park. It made me feel good knowing I was supporting a place that really cares about animal well-being. What made the visit even more convenient was the free bus service from my hotel to the park and back. It was so easy to get there and back without any hassle, making the day smooth and stress-free. All in all, visiting Oasis Wildlife Park was a fantastic experience. It's perfect for a family day out or just if you're an animal lover looking to make some furry (or feathery!) friends. I'll definitely be going back the next time I'm in Fuerteventura. If you're in the area, you've got to check it out – especially the giraffe feeding; it's a game changer! Plus, the free bus service is just the cherry on top, making it super accessible for everyone.

Visiting this museum was one of the highlights of our trip to Fuerteventura. Nestled in a serene spot with sweeping views of the island's desert landscape, the setting alone is worth the visit — vast, open, and truly spectacular, it gives you a real sense of the island’s raw natural beauty. Inside, the museum offers a fascinating look at one of Fuerteventura's most iconic traditions: goat cheese making. The exhibits are both informative and engaging, showcasing the entire process from traditional methods to modern techniques. You can see how the cheese is made, learn about the importance of goats to the local culture, and even sample some of the freshest and most delicious goat cheese we’ve ever tasted. It’s a perfect mix of education, culture, and natural beauty. Whether you're a foodie, a history buff, or simply looking to explore something unique and authentic, this museum delivers a genuine taste of the island in more ways than one.

Interesting to see history of the Island and how local Cheese is made. Other exhibits explain different theories as to how the Island was formed and some of the sea life found at different depths. A couple of the videos and interactive features didn't work but the entry fee isn't expensive (€4 per adult over 11 yrs with reduced tickets for children) so very much worth a visit if you're interested in the history of the Island or Cheese. Definitely worth it if you like both! Cactus Garden pleasant to walk around and you can climb up a ladder into the top of the Windmill but there isn't a viewpoint - just a model of what would have been up there if it was in service. Update July 2023: Friendly resident Cat likes to play with Walking Sticks and you can now try a plate of local cheeses and a glass of Honey Rum for an additional €3, as well as purchase Cheese and locally made items from the Shop

This is a gem of a museum. Multi-lingual friendly staff , a superb garden of palms and cacti, a beautiful old mill which could probably start production again as soon as the sails are raised, all centered around a large old finca with several informative rooms showings displays, videos, photos etc. of the islands history, cheese production (yes - remember, it's a cheese museum), all you ever wanted to know about goat breeds (I want a goat in my garden please)...we spent far too much time in the garden and first exhibition rooms, had to rush in the end, missed out on the museum shop, sorry! also the cafe and a couple of the rooms. Obviously not everyone will be reading all the multi-lingual information on display, but if you want to get a sense of what made Fuerteventura, and how its past resonates into the present do visit this well kept place and take your time.

We visited this museum as part of an excursion organized through Norwegian Cruise Line and had a great time during our short stay there. The visit started with a tasting of a locally made honey rum and goat cheeses made my the owners of the museum which were both very delicious. After that, we then got to walk around the museum and go through all the exhibits which were divided into three sections, the first was about the formation of the Canary Islands, the second was about the cheese making process they go through and the the different types of cheeses they make, and the third about the goats of the island. All was very informative and there was even a few interactive exhibits that tested the knowledge we gained from the exhibits. The entire visit was very enjoyable and the owners and staff and super welcoming and friendly.

Surprisingly interesting! Staff spoke a great English and Spanish and the museum and signs were all multilingual. The app guide doesn’t have English available yet, but it’s probably not required. The actual workers near the warehouse didn’t speak much English, so the explanation of the different types of salt and drying process was a bit hard to follow, but interesting to taste the difference between the types of salt. Gift shop was good, if somewhat overpriced, as expected. Fin whale skeleton is not related to the salt production, but an interesting addition. A 10k walk there and back from Caleta de Fueste Barceló resort or a 5 min drive by car.

The perimeter is poorly signposted. We had walked through a nearby open gate with no signs just trying to follow what we thought was the coastal path. Turns out we had entered the museum grounds, as explained by a clearly exasperated member of staff chasing after us asking if we had tickets. She implied that we must have climbed over a wall but we had not and she had to admit there was a problem policing the place. We apologised of course and she was very nice about it all, I felt rather sorry for her. Whether it's worth the €6 for the ticket will depend how interested you are in salt.

Be careful! I Just wanted to have a quick look at the awesome whale skeleton and a peek at the salt pens however. The museum staff claimed that the whale was part of the museum and I had to pay €6 to go see it. However the whale is not part of the museum it is not there property and you can walk there. Without paying for the museum. You have to drive like 200 meters away from the museum. You’ll find a small bay with parking spots. From there you can walk to the whale. You can even look at the salt pens from up close!

Un lugar interesante puesto que sigue recogiendo la sal a la manera de antaño. Museo abierto al exterior, para contemplar como se recoge la sal, pero la parte interior del museo debe dar un vuelco y modernizarse, los audiovisuales se escuchan mal y se superponen no pudiendo entender bien o debes esperar para tu idioma. Las Salinas del Carmen, situadas en la Costa de Antigua, son Bien de Interés Cultural y se trata de las únicas Salinas que se mantienen en funcionamiento de la isla. Mientras en otras salinas el agua se bombea o se deja pasar a través de canales, en las salinas del Carmen lo hace a través del Saltadero, lugar do de el viento empuja las olas contra las rocas y el impacto forma la espuma que es donde más sal se concentra. Esta peculiaridad produce sal de altísima calidad y rica en oligoelementos. El agua se conduce del saltadero a los cocederos por un caño abierto con un ‘aliviadero’ que desvía el exceso de agua del mar. El proceso es totalmente natural, tan solo la fuerza del mar y el viento sirve para poder llevar el agua a los cocederos y tajos de las salinas. El agua pasa por un canal hasta llegar a tres depósitos o cocederos, calentándose por la acción del sol. Cuando alcanza la temperatura adecuada, se canaliza hacia los tajos. Es ahí cuando, al evaporarse, se extrae la sal del fondo y se deja escurrir en el borde de los tajos. La sal limpia y seca se guarda en el almacén donde será empaquetada.

Nice museum and experience! You can see and learn about the traditional way to take salt from the sea water using only the force of the nature, the sun and the manual job of workers to take the salt and put it to dry. You will also learn all the history of this place and about the salt commerce in all this beautiful Island. Worth to buy also the combined ticket to have the same kind of experience in other two sites: museum of cheese and museum of windmills.
